Has anyone suffered from this? I had it over a year ago in my right wrist, blamed too much scrubbing & painting of stables. Didn't take anything really except the odd 'Brufen & it eventually went on its own. Went bowling at the weekend the old nagging ache started up again, but in both wrists this time..grrrr! Its affecting my grip & generally provin to be a right ole pain in the ! As I don't like going to the docs unless something looks like it might drop off, I wondered if you guys had any suggestions? Other than don't use em...like doc said last time I had it. I pointed out I had 2 horses to tend to & as they've not yet figured out how to wheel the barrow yet, total rest isn't really an option!
LOL Phones on charge downstairs! Will PM you Don't be giving me a reason to Google Carpet Tunneling do-dah! (You know I'm off to do it now tho!) Its not THAT painful I can still function but you know I don't do ailing very well...just irritate myself. Good idea about the paracetamol & brufen tho
ETA Just googled Carpet thingy & I don't think its that!
Ouch - sounds painfull!!! Back about 10 something years ago - most winters I had 10'ish horses - all the mucking out (must have been my swing through with the shavings fork into the wheelbarrow) - caused me great pain in my right hip -caused inflamation of the bursal sac on the right hip - in otherwords "tennis elbow" of the hip!! lol ended up having the bursal sac removed/scraped - never had a problem since.....but then now my horses mostly live out all year
I am suffering with the same thing at the moment it has got worse since the horses have been out more caused by all of the pooh picking I thought, I saw the doctor on Tuesday and she has prescribed anti inflammatories and I am waiting on physio appt, but in the long term she thinks I will need steroid injections on my elbow as she thinks that my ulnar (sp) nerve is trapped?
Ouch Sally! I had to have my ulnar nerve re-routed (op to move it) in my left elbow several years ago - never had any problem since with it! I can't have steroid injections - so the op was the only answer.
