Tomorrow my daughter, Michelle is taking Rosie (my horse) on a 18 km pleasure ride. VERY strange for me as Rosie has always had me on her back when competing etc.. Not sure how I'll feel watching Michelle & Rosie ride off into the distance tomorrow? Good luck chell & have an ace ride - I know you & Rosie will look after each other.

Well they both got back from the ride in 1 piece. It was 23 km which is just over 14 miles. Nerve wracking for me watching them set off, then waiting for them at the first check point. Both arrived home ok, & Michelle thoroughly enjoyed herself. A big thanks to Chris who rode with them. Lovely for me watching, as Chris owns Nemshozar, who I bred, & is also Rosies foal (now rising 10) so a real family affair! The weather was glorious which was brilliant after the awful wind, & torrential rain we had yesterday - even had a covering of snow on the ground this morning. So pleased that Michelle had a great day & Rosie was a star. One poor lady, got kicked in the head, when we got back to the venue. A horse with a red ribbon on its tail kicked her!! Luckily, paramedics were on site & she seemed ok after a while, but she was so lucky she wasn't killed. Horses like that shouldn't be out in public IMO! Other than that an ace day -& my guess is Michelle will be aching to have another go. Thanks for all your good wishes. Lisa |
