Hello can anyone tell me where i can find a web page or details with arabians with Red House prefix? I have googled with no joy, i remember seeing a while back 2 young geldings for sale on the AL sales pages but not sure if I was seeing things as cannot find them! I did rather like one of them so wondered what had become of them. Thank you in advance and hope mods I allowed to ask your members for details, if not then please delete :)

Gudrun Von Tevenar breeds the Red House horses in Sussex. I'm sure you could find her details via the Crabbet Organisation. Google shows a stud directory with her details on the AHS site but my pc won't let me see it without downloading a new browser... |

Hi Goldenmane, the little grey terrier in your sig pics........what breed is he?? We took in a stray who turned up at our stud, some four years ago. and your little terrier, looks like a double of him.
His coat grows very long and if left looks like a mini old english sheep dog. He doesn`t molt any hair at all and his coat is very soft and silky to touch. He stands about 10 inches at his shoulder. He has got real `queen anne table legs`
Visitors are always asking us what breed he is?? he is a super little dog and cant imagine why anyone would have thrown him out, as he was in a poor state and his coat all matted when he turned up on our yard. Remember saying to him "what a little ragamuffin you are" and the name has stuck. He quite likes his name "Rags"

We bought 2 Red House mares at the back end of last year. We saw the two youngsters Gudrun had up for sale. They are both lovely, super movers and their photo's didn't do them justice. Temperaments are wonderful. We were really blown away by Gudrun's horses. As others have offerred to pm you her details I probably don't need to, but you can always pm me. As others have also said, Gudrun is a very special lady and has become a lovely friend. Good luck with your investigations. I think those of us lucky enough to own Red House Arabs are quite privileged! |

I remember seeing a lovely bay gelding Redhouse Pasha for sale early last year and was sorely tempted but wasn't in a position at the time to buy - I wonder who the lucky person was who got him |

Hi
I own Redhouse Oberon; I bought him from Gudrun around 4/5 years ago, he is now an open endurance horse and he has a fantastic nature. He will gallop flat out when i call him from one end of the field to the gate in the evenings!
My two friends also own Redhouse horses and we keep them all at the same DIY yard in Scotland. Redhouse Islay is just starting endurance, and Redhouse Pasha is also here.
Pasha is stunning, a very special boy! All the Redhouse horses that I have meet all come with great personalities and really are people “arabs”.

How strange I've been looking at back copies of Arabian Link and there are several ads for Redhouse Arabians. Shame this mag is no longer going. |

Hi,
I bought Redhouse Pasha last year from Gudron. He has been really easy to work with and has a lovely nature. Thoroughly recommend the Redhouses - they are so well handled and have lovely manners.
Trinity - Pasha's breeding is WSA Charissma x Red House Karinna who I think is Gudron's foundation mare.
Who were the mares that you bought - I remember Gudron contacting me about horse transport for someone in Scotland. |

Hi Suzes, we bought Ismene who is 11 and Zara Rugosa, who will be 4 next month. Only went down for 1, but came away with 2!! So glad you're enjoying Pasha. As you say, The Redhouse horses are so well handled and have superb natures. We could quite easily have given homes to a few more. We've only had our girls since December, but they are so easy and a joy to be with. |

Hi Trinity
The other Red House we have at the yard is Red House Islay, who is a half sister to your mare Red House Ismene (same Dam), She bred a fantastic Filly (by Dhruv) will will be 4 in June, she took 2nd at the Scottish Arab Show is the 3 year old class last year.
Its strange that so many of her horses have ended up in Scotland!
What is Zara Rugosa breeding?

Hi Trinity,
Ismene was Quests dam who was also for sale at the time I bought Pasha. She looked lovely in the pictures Gudron sent to me.
I'm hoping to get some decent piccies this weekend (if the weather's good so will try and post them).
Fleas - let us know if you buy one of Gudron's horses. Suze |

Piccies would be fantastic.
This is one of Zara, taken last summer.
This is Ismene, not long after they arrived with us in December
Eframe - This is a link to Zara's pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/red+house+zara+rugosa She is a Dhruv Grandaughter on her Damns side. Would love to see how she compares to Islay's filly. Zara will be 4 next month. Do you have any photo's of Oberon? Would love to see him.
Gudrun loves Scotland, so it's quite nice so many of her horses have ended up here. |

I remember Ismanie when she came to my stallion WSA Charismma***, although she was a maiden , she accepted the stallion with gay abandon she was very sweet and easy to get on with all be it a little shy when she first turned up. I am glad she has a happy home. |

Hi Lynda, how are you?
Gay abandon is an understatement. She thinks about sex as often as Akhira does!! Here are the two of them discussing tactics last week. Ismene is on the right, sporting the latest dishevlled look!!
She's going to be so disappointed when she finds out she's not getting her man this year, as we are using a different stallion for her and AIing her!! |

This is really good to be able to talk about the Red Houses.
Trinity - if you're ever in the Edinburgh area, let us know and you can come and visit our Red Houses. I haven't done too mucj with Pasha as I managed to sprain my ankle (badly) and only just getting back into riding my older boy.
Lynda - who is the Bay in your sig pics as it looks so similar to Pasha. Pasha's sire is your WSA Charrisma.
