I've met so many of my AL friends on here - in the flesh & yes - they were exactly as I had imagined them to be - not sure what they thought of me though!!! LOL
Thing is......they all seem to want to comeback

Mogwai - if you are Wales-bound you must come meet the MAN... bet NatH will want to come with you but she isn't allowed to bring her REALLY big duffle bag as she plans to steal my Princey-babe away to the Midlands... We know/met quite a few... arabs is a small world . There are some with Vlacq's or relatives we haven't met (like Spangle) but we love hearing their news! |

Well i met Claire Honeyb nearly 3 years ago and shes still turning up now Actually Claire is now one of my best friends and im so glad we met up and Kerrydwen loves her Ive met a few others too but normally at shows and im sat in the line up thinking oohh i know you!! Ive met Steph but not sure of her name on here. Ive met Madeline at an open day and through there met Katie and Bill Gore. Ive sat next to Lyndilou at Towerlands with i think it was Sam and Michelle although i don't think they will remember me! Went to a meet up not too long ago which lets say was interesting, its amazing the kind of image some people portray and when you meet up in real life its like something from the film 'Wrong Turn'

Well we met the lovely Judith, Alan and their tribe of furries and they were simply fab. But I've not met Charlie, Ruby and Manon. I think that needs rectifying......
I've met many of the endurance bods and they're all fabulous too.
I'd love to meet all of you - you're all lovely, and as arab nutters, have impeccable taste. |

I have probably met more than I think but as I haven't been showing for years I don't get to go to many things anymore and even when I did I'm so shy all I do is that silly smile you do when you want people to say hello!Trouble is since being on here I think we all look like emoticons! I pull the faces of them when I type them...completely involuntarily though!! The other half must think I'm training for a gurning contest!Would love to meet people again or for the first time.Look out for a huge yellow face at Towerlands!!And I am exactly the same in real life,be that good or bad! |

LOL Norty Carol....wrong turn indeed (If you don't want to be friends no more you only have to say...Humphhhh!)
Well I've met... The lovely Judith & Alan and their ever expanding herd (but I REALLY need to come & visit Charlie, Ruby & Manon Dinkidoo & Mad Alice ... the 2 come as a mother daughter package! As as Carol said I keep turning up and insisting they be my friends! But seriously you are both great, Carol lets me ride her lovely ginger mare Kerry whenever I can And Alice is a great source of entertainment & always has a hilarious story to tell! I've met Evie (Jo Chipstick!) who has the pleasure of having to put up with not just me but my OH too! Esstaana (Steph) another lovely person...came to our 'gathering' Carol mentioned (not a Wrong Turner luckily!) And a few others some in passing some by acquaintance...but in general you're all not bad!LOL

I for one would love to meet people who are on here, as I think sometimes the written word can be miscontrued and I think we can get preconceived ideas about people that turn out to be totally wrong..... and it would be lovely to meet all the people that have been there with a kind word and a word of support when it has been needed also we can get influenced about people by others and its such a shame, so I for one would definitely love to meet others from AL and to thank those in person for all their support over the years when times have been at the darkest. I have never met anyone from this site only one person over thirty years ago at a show and for some reason they did not want to speak to me ( I was with my ex O/H, who was the farrier) so maybe thats the reason and one other that I became friends with years later as I used to drive her everywhere if she had events to attend or shows because she did not drive, and I have never met anyone else, which is sad really |

I've met Jo (Evie) as had Tara for a while Alethea who is doing a fab job with Ishara for me despite me sending her there injured! Pauline who taught me Reiki Vera who is much younger than she sounds and the lovely Dennis Karitaz at various gatherings Sazzlepants ditto Sub who arranged the first AL gathering I went to and was first time I met Jo as well Bridie I met at Malvern Vygoda, Kathy, Lanabanana, Trisha, Cakes, Deboniks and lots of other folks I met at Al Waha but can't remember all the names now! Nut who is very funny Kash I've waved at down the table Not sure if they were how I imagined or not i think some were some weren't
I must say it's great putting names to faces and being able to talk Arab all night, we should definately have more gatherings especially at shows and stud visits

Ive met lots of lovely people from AL....mostly thanks to Vera who knows EVERYONE.Also met some more when we were fortunate enough to arrange an informal stud visit to Aja Arabians a few years ago. Some are completely different to what you imagine them to be which always comes as a surprise to me. Its really great to meet likeminded people and chat away for hours about arabs. Malvern is the place to be to relax, chat and meet up with others. |
