I am so sorry to hear about these two horses. Its disgusting the things people will do. I hope she gets whatever is coming to her and is made known to everyone so she cannot do this again. I feel sick even at the thought of it

I am so very sorry for the Owner of these poor mares...what a terrible, stressful way for theirlives to end. Poor, Poor Horses and what devastating news for their Owner, who felt she had made the right decision to Loan them out
Please don`t shoot me down for what my thoughts are. When we breed, or buy a horse/pony or any animal for that matter, we hold ourselves responsible to ensure the very best of care. If, as circumstances sometimes enforce us,we have to part with our beloved Friends, we do our utmost to ensure and safeguard their future.
Sadly, in this case and several others reported on other AL threads unless one personally `KNOWS`the loanee, it is not an option to be considered, especially, as in this case, both horses being unsound renderingthem unfit as riding horses. There are so many `b......s` out there, who prey on genuine caring Owners.......what really is the answer.
We once faced this dilemma with a homebred filly. She was a beautifull redhead so was Registered Sunray Saffron (Fergie) By the time she was a yearling, it was apparent that she had a problem with her hock, as was occasionally lame. X-rays revealed arthritis..what a shock in one so young. We decided to keep her and as long as she was not suffering, we were happy to care for her. However, when it was time and before we knew she was starting to suffer, we had her PTS
Yes, we could have sold her on, or loaned her.....but decided, she had had five wonderful years and said our goodbye knowing we had taken the responsible decision.....it broke our heart, she was beautiful. She rests in our paddock and her spirit gallops in green pastures on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Horrible outcome. Poor, poor horses, now out of pain and uncertainty. Someone must be punished for this. BabsR, I agree with you entirely. |

I think that the press should be made aware of this, the more people that know about this evil woman the better, & there are so many people that still dont use the internet, so not everyone is aware of things like this going on. RIP. Poor horses |

If this person ever goes to court I expect she will get a slap on the wrist and maybe a small fine.
However if I was the owner I would be going to court for murder. |

I am really sorry for you Emma for this terrible outcome for your two horses. It may be very small consolation at the moment for you, but at least you know these horses are not suffering some where or being dragged round from sale to sale, dealer to dealer for a few pounds profit. The people who do these things are nothing more than despicable pond life, the dregs of our society. I go to Melton regularly and will be looking carefully at any horses brought in by this woman and her partner, and taking photos of them. I am just amazed that the police seem so slow in moving in on this woman. I was even told back in Sept by the Sussex police, that the woman on my Arab's passport was not even the woman of the same name that they were looking for in connection with the theft of another Arab.
Once again, really sorry for the outcome of this sad story.

I have emailed emma, she is distraught as was hoping when she contacted the slaughter house it would rule it out that they went there. There is another person on the forum saying that the lady had her horse on loan and has vanished so im trying to get more info out of her about the horse! We are all trying to get the press etc involved in this and Emma i think will be rining sussex police that were searching for *********** as soon as she can think straight. She said she was going to have a look on here tomoz as i told her she has got support on here too. just hope the police sort this horrible women out. |

Emma
I am so so sorry to hear of your news.
What I would like to write about this women is unprintable.
There is far too much of this kind of things going on and the police do nothing about it. If it is the same person the Sussex police want, they have just been too slow about it.
RIP you lovely girls.

It is too terrible to contemplate.
Anyway, should you be looking at going to the press, if I can be of any assistance do let me know. My day job is PR, so I would be able to drum up contact lists etc and give advice/assist, although I am sure there are others who can do the same, but the offer is there.
