I own an 18 month old palomino colt that is 97.5% arab. His dam is Asils Satisfaction and sire is Eldyr. I am quite new to the arab world and am wondering if anyone knows what percentage a part bred has to be for the arab society to possibly register them as full arab? Also wondered if anyone knows whether he has any Crabbet in his breeding.

Hi and Welcome to the NEW Arabian Line Forum.
To be registered as a pure bred your horse would have to 100%, with both parents registered as breeding stock.
You could obviously register your horse as a Part-bred, but again at least one of the parents would have to registered with the AHS as breeding stock.
Have you checked out their website, or telephone the AHS?

Good Luck with your youngster & welcome to AL. Here's the links for both your colt's sire & dam, The sire Eldyr has quite a few palomino stock about, look at his progeny, and he has 50% Arab blood to go forward to your colt, plus the additional arab blood from the dams side, should be plenty for the part bred register, if all the paperwork is in place. Would love to see a picture of your boy and his name...There's quite a lot of palomino enthusiasts on here and I see he's from a family of palomino breeding.....I'm no crabett expert, but you should look at Eldyr's pedigree, he has a double Aswan ( gift from Egypt)cross, and there is crabett on both Priboj who's dam Rissalma 1932 is 100% crabett and Nitochka 1948 was by Naseem who is 100% crabett. Hope that helps a bit... Cheers Sue

Welcome loislane. I too would love to see pictures of your high % arab palomino. I have seen both Eldyr and Asils Satisfaction in the flesh and they are both gorgeous. Have posted pictures of them both on old threads. Have you seen them? Happy to post again if you like.
What is your horse called? I assume you have also registered him with the Palomino society as that will give you a lot more options with showing. Best wishes debs |
