Sorry for the caps lock overload but I'm just sooooo excited
Some of you may remember my posting at the beginning of September saying that I had bought an unregistered gelding from the Sales page on here called Rio Danny. I then posted asking for info on the parents listed on his Pet-Id passport that came with him - Ibn Sudan and Divine Sensation. Then all was quiet on the Rio topic.
This was because I was contacted by a lady who said that she was his breeder and that he belonged to her as he had been sold without her permission. Fortunately for me, she agreed to sign him over and informed the AHS that she was doing this.
I have had to send off some mane and have been waiting for the DNA results to be done so a correct passport can be issued.
Today the AHS has just called to say that the passport is being issued and that Rio is, in fact, Ibn Sensation and is an extremely well-bred little boy but best of all, HE'S MINE, ALL MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEE HHHAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lucy
PS will post photos after the weekend!!!!!

Well done and what a lovely lady the breeder is to let you keep him and at least she will know that he will be cared for and loved. I hope you have lots of fun together. |

The breeder has been incredibly generous but I think that if he had not been gelded and she was still as involved with horses as she had been then it would have been a different story
I honestly think that the people we bought him from didn't have a clue about him being somebody else. They had only had him since April this year and had bought him in good faith from the person who requested the Pet-Id passport. I haven't told them what's happened as it didn't seem fair to burden them with the hassle or worry.
As soon as the AHS passport arrives then I have to send the Pet-Id passport back to Pet-Id and, I think, they are going to investigate the circumstances behind their passport being issued.
It has all been really stressful and expensive and I am just relieved its all over and the outcome has been in my favour.

Well done, so glad you have a good outcome, I remember seeing him on the sale page and thinking how great he looked, and if I had room I would have been after him. So glad he now has a loving home good luck in all your future equestrian events together.

What an unfortunate situation for you to have been in, but so pleased for a happy outcome for your horse and yourself. A round of applause for the breeder too. It could have had a totally different outcome.
So pleased for you.

Great outcome. What a huge relief for you, and also for his breeder who must have worried terribly what his fate might have been! Really good of her to have been so generous but I'm sure she sees he's got the right owner now.
How did he get to have been taken and sold on?
Happy days ahead for you ;-) |
