After the Wee Ginger Ones accident I've been keeping her back legs lightly bandaged, stable bandages & gamgee. After the 1st week & half I now only put them on at night. Shes on box rest with a daily stroll & the idea is to stop her legs filling. I'm just wondering if this may be slowing down the healing of her grazes though as almost a month later & the scabs are showing no signs of dropping off. Nice & clean & dry, just not shifting! Any thoughts?
are the injuries on her back legs too? If so i would keep up the stable bandages too, over night ,or her legs might fill up and impede the healing scabs?
Yes Libby, just on one leg mainly. I'm never quite sure if it would be better to let more air get to them or carry on just bandaging at night. They are healing nicely just the scabs are showing no signs of shifting...just giving myself something else to worry about if I'm doing it right!
i have been using these magnetic stable boots instead of bandaging (minty was starting to get sore, its been 7 months!)and i think they are really great, they have washable removable liners and work really well for support and reduce swelling! really easy and quick to put on as well...hope your little ginger lady gets better soon.
