Hi, My God... theres loads and loads tonight around our stables, there everywhere!! Every year theres a considerable amount around but tonight is bad.. it doesn't help that theres a family of lads who have recently moved next to us (they own fishing ponds, and clearly have no consideration for the horses around!!)..some are literally banging next to our stables!! On the postive side though I actually cant believe how calm mine are, particularly the young foals they've hardly bothered!! Think its me who's more anxious.. it only takes a few extremely close bangs to cause an accident!!

Thankfully it's quiet tonight. All to do with the rain I think. Saturday might be another thing though.
Hope yours are all safe. |

What credit crunch? If people can afford to blow their money up it cannot be that bad. Horses here are also OK but my poor dogs are hating it. I did buy a fireworks CD a few years ago which I play before any likely firework date (Christmas and New Year now seem to also be a firework night) and this has helped a lot but the dogs still hate it when it is really close. |

we havent had that many tonight, possibly saturday will be the day, although there are usually more in the run up, hopefully the credit crunch for fireworks might stay, hope everyones stays safe. |

Millions !!!! We can see a good 40+ miles radious from our patio doors as were high up.. Am at present knackerd but wont settle until ive checked them at 10pm They are the middle of nowhere and stables tucked down into the dip The village 1/2 mile up the lane has a big display tonight To be honest none of my animals take any notice of the noise but am just worried for the sake of something to worry about i think!! BUT wont relax until ive done one more check..

Its pretty quiet here tonight as well, ours could not care less whats happening, as long as they have their haynets etc then they are fine.
Saturday might be a different story but again they won;t really take any notice.
Lots of organised displays here, we had out own little quiet fireworks in the back garden and that was it theres still a few bangs and whizzes going off at 9.30 but its not bad.

Tonnes, next door neighbourshad their big ones right next to our boundary fence - horses actually went over to watch, they love it! Even the 2 newly weaned colts couldn't care less! |

we used to pick up spent rockets from the stable yard at one time. The horses never bothered, like many, I think they quite enjoyed the party.
Here, it isn't celebrated. Horses wouldn't care anyway, they have spent the day craning over the fence watching the deerhunters, and don't flinch at gunshots mere yards away. My dogs, on the other hand, have been in a state of panic all day, and will be until deer season is over in a week or so. I am so glad they don't have fireworks to contend with. |
