I lurve my silver stallion Diarmid. What a boy..completed 50 miler very successfully 30 may, without any other equine company, and a heart rate of 39 after only 9 mins and into presentation!! THEN 6th June hacked to horse show where he won best of Purebred section and took Reserve overall, and hacked home again!! His daughter picked up 2 seconds also with novice handler! Not Bragging...just so humbled and proud. Somedays are sunshine in more ways than one!

SNAP!!!!!!!!
When I advertised for my first Arab I didn't even want white stockings. lol Now I've a herd of greys but one is black bred. She's only 2 this year so I've been looking for a black boy for next year. Fingers crossed by 2006, I may have my dream black but it has to go some to beat the Silva Dollar horse.
My new boy Azeez Sadeeq is a higher % Crabbet than Dolls (just)with a lot of the same Crabbet but an Egyptian cross. He's a real sweetie, so nosey. Only 3yrs just now, so won't be out for a couple of years yet. Only doing Long Reining for the moment but he's so good, he would make you want to push him early, just loves the work. He may be at public stud next year, I havn't really deceided yet but I want him riding away well before he covers his first lady. Great hopes for this boy. Nikki is doing her AI so hasn't a lot of time to compete, so hoping both will click for the future.

Azeez sounds wonderfull post lots of piccies for us. Your horses sound so happy and well atuned.I am so thrilled when other people write about thier stallions, they are such richness of character.I wonder if others ever wonder about how diferent it can be to ride a stallion in competition,eg the generosity, elasticity,of them, the wonderful in built homing or scenting far away horses device, or the humour, and pizaz!!. Isnt that a laugh about you not wanting a grey either!!...now, I wouldnt be without that colour. I notice them more too in other sports eg TB racing or eventing etc. But nothing beats the Arabian grey!! Are you going to Scottish Champs, we ...fingers crossed should be going...and can chat horses there!!!
Did I read you were going to Royal Highland Show? Hubby and I are going...not with horse this year tho....its time to visit relatives and friends! I look like my photo, and will probably be wearing grey blue sued Aussie bush hat, and either green waterproof, or blue fleece. Will try and putsome kind of Arabian Lines badge on!! If I remember!!Hopefully other ALs will be around too. I'll be hanging round the Arab show rings window shopping or else browsing the tack stands trying to only window shop!!! Hubby may or may not be at my side depending on machinery window shopping!! He is tall dark and looks Rugby player with extra padding!!! |
