Thanks so much pixie...she nearly lost her life foaling at 19yrs with a foal presented three feet through the pelvis, but with the vets and my help we managed to help her through it although sadly she lost her baby, the vet said then how strong she was to survive such an ordeal, she sweated so much trying to pass the foal she looked like you had bathed her! she had damaged nerves from the pressure of having a foal in her pelvis for so long and had difficulty in walking straight! i vowed i would never breed another foal from her!!! but....two years on from then she was driving me nuts, trying to pinch her daughters foals, even rounding up the calves that shared her field at that time! so i relented and let her have another foal, needless to say i was sinking the whiskey the night she was in labour i was so stressed! guess what? she had william ( the foal in the pictures i posted) like shelling a pea! and she was such a happy mom! |

Verena I am so sorry I have not read this post....
I am so pleased that your girl is on the recovery road.
You have been a good online friend to me, and you should have told me you were concerned about your baby... I always send you my problems!
Keep up the good work.... You were meant to be together.... You look after each other.... A trouble shared and all that...
