Thankyou all so much for your support, i only wish old ma Tara could read it! yes ros i think i did post a little story about her, she is so special, and she is responsible for every horse in my sig pictures! i am almost to scared to say it, but she seems to be improving, she ate her tea with much more vigour tonight and was much more alert, i am hoping it was just a bug/virus and that she will bounce back to her former self. I will know more tommorrow. |

well all the wishes you have sent and judith`s white light must be working...i am so thrilled as today for the first time since monday she has lifted her head up and took interest in things around her, she ate all her breakfast and when i put her in the little grassy paddock outside her stable while i mucked out she actually managed a TROT!! only a short one...but hey she must be feeling so much more chipper! i have been so stressed i even went to buy my carrots from the feed merchant paid for them then drove off without them! got to go back now...but what the heck...things are looking up! |

Thanks merlot, i will still be happier if she continues to improve tommorrow, she has been my comfort when i needed her, and now its my time to be strong when she needs it, i will not let her suffer but at the same time i know she is such a fighter. The strange thing is two of my friends horses have had simalar things happen to them, one a 8yr old stopped eating and developed a high temp, the other another old horse again off its food and high temp, and also blowing like Tara was!!! i am sure it must be a virus..or a very strange coincidence! |

Hiya everyone, yes gemma got my carrots Tara`s temp now 37.4 thank goodness...a lot different to 39.9! she is tucking into her food now as well! i have got a little concern over her hind legs as they are swollen, probably all the standing about she has been doing! i am ringing the vet tommorrow so i will mention it! might still have the bloods tested anyway to put my mind at rest.... funnily enough i seem to have my appetite back now as well!
THANK YOU .....What a lovely supportive bunch you all are xxxxxxx

So pleased to hear she is better. Re the swollen legs---if it is just with standing about, which it sounds like it probably is, magnetic boots would probably help. |
