A fellow Aler's (hope you dnt mind me posting) and good friend of mine's old mare Tara isn’t too well at the moment, please all send your get well messages and keep everything crossed that her appetite will come back and treatment will work to give this old girl more time with the people that adore her xx

OMG Verena, so sorry to hear Tara not well...have tried to phone.

Tara is rising 31 years and Vjc has owned her since she purchased the old Lady as a weaned foal. Tara has had the best life can offer any equine, in a caring loving home. She has been kept in excellent condition all these years and we are praying she has the strength and willpower to come through, to see many more Spring Sunrises with her grand-children around her.

Well said Babs, if you saw Tara you wouldnt belive how old she was!!
She has the life anyone could dream off for there horse with her grandkids grazing and going into the warm when ever she wants and having V at her back and call :)
Praying for you lovely Tara i know V will do everything possible for you. xx

Thanks so much Gemma and babs and everyone for your kind words, i have had a very stressfull 24hours praying my lovely Tara will be okay, The vet has done all she can and we are all hoping she will rally round. She has starting eating again and her temperature is slowly coming down, she is still very groggy in herself which is a real worry.She is the very foundation of Elmdale stud and she has been my life, all i can hope is i have more time with my lovely girl.
I will keep you all informed, thanks again, Verena. |

| Thanks Nat, and everyone for their kind comments, i can tell you it does help! Tara is starting to eat again all be it a bit slow, her temperature is still a little up but not as high as it has been, my concern is she seems so listless, i know she is nearly 31 but this is not her! her eye membranes look a little yellowy to me which is quite a worry, the vet is coming out on friday if no improvement to take bloods, I know i will lose her one day, but i am praying this is not it. Again thankyou all for your support.xxxxx |
