Subject: Stolen Shetlands There has been a run on stealing Shetlands in the past week or so. 7 have gone missing to date. At a recent sale this type would make up to £1000 each so are a quick and easy way of making money. Please be on the lookout for new ponies in your areas and guard against the theft of your equines. Remember that the only visible deterrent against theft is a freeze brand. This also makes the horse instantly identifiable to anyone and much harder to sell on.
Llanybydder Horse Sales are this Thursday - have been told there are about a 1000 equines entered - our neighbour is taking 75 Shetland foals to sell....
Any more info on the stolen Shetlands - photos? I'm hoping to go to the sales for a look....
There were no photos.... it was on a bi-monthly email that comes from horsewatch... so straight from the police.... taking 75 shetland foals - WOW thats a massive number.... I hope everyone finds loving homes for life xx
