Not sure if this is correct spelling but this little mare is a very fleabitten grey around 30 years old and was apparently one of twins. She is meant to have had a foal or two so presumably is registered. Her current owners never got her papers and the lady who they bought her off has since died so looks like they never will now. They would love to find out about her offspring but have had no luck with the AHS. I thought the fact she was a twin would be quite rare and maybe someone will have heard of her. She is only about 13.2.

Just had a quick look in the stud books for you. Amal was foaled in 1984, her twin was called Nasheetah by Azmar (Caliph/Mettle Silouette)
out of Mariota (Magnet/Ruby Sapphire) Ruby Sapphire was by Indian Flame. Amal and her twin sister were bred by Mrs Paice, though I suppose your friend knows that bit.
I checked in later stud books and can find no record of either mare having foals, theuy could have but not been registered.
Interestingly Mariota had another set of twin fillies in 1985 also by Azmar.

| That's great thanks Mandy. I don't think they know very much about her at all, they weren't even sure if the name was correct. So she's only 24 then no wonder she looks so good for her age! |
