Only saw this now. Don't know if it's helpfull. Pancho was bred by the late Mr Peeters of Arabica, one of the founders of the belgian studbook. Born in 1974, he was first registered in the dutch studbook and lateron, as number 54, in the new belgian studbook.

His sire Tamerlan was a race winner in Russia, 15.3 hands, stood at stud at Arabica and was lateron exported to the USA. He sired almost 200 offspring.

Pancho himself left only 8 offspring in 2 breeding years (1985 & 1986). Best known offspring are the mares Elsara and Forlana. His daughter Elriza was exported to Italy, his daughter Formia to Oman. Non of his sons bred on.

Yes I do, as I actually know this mare

Elsara was bred by the late Mr Peeters the 2nd of April 1986, by Pancho out of Resique II (a half sister to Padron !). She was bought by Mrs Fabienne Drugmand of Divinita's Arabians. She lives in the french speaking part of Belgium.
I saw her at Divinita's Arabians in 1996 and this is what I wrote down about her (translated into english) :
More refined, well proportioned mare. Didn't show the best in movement. Round croup (hind end). Had a colt foal by Martinenkov at foot. (the later Divinita's Djain)
Elsara was shown as a young horse, obtaining the following results :

1988:
- 1e 2-year old fillies, C-show Balen
- 5e (on 10) 2 year old fillies, int. A-show Masters Open Oostende, 80,8 pts

1989:
- 1e (on 2) 3 year old fillies, C-show Balen, 78,66 pts

Elsara brought only offspring for Divinita's Arabians. She gave three licensed stallion, two simply licensed, not good enough for a premium : Nankin by Hamourabi and Divinita's Djain by Martinenkov. Divinita's Djain has been brought out in eventing.
The third is Divinita's El Barrak by Rafif Ibn Shazzan. A third premium stallion, raced a season on the racetrack (not succesfull).

Elsara also brought the mare Divinita's Ellara, by Ra. She unfortunatly got struck by a tetanos infection, but as far as I know, survived.

There is also a daughter called Divinita's Marylin by Kniazj, owned by Cr. George in Belgium.

I of course also have pictures, so give a yell (better : leave me your e-mail adress) and I'll send them to you.

Why are you intrested in these typically belgian lines ?

Nadia : unfortunatly no public pictures are available of Pancho. If you really want to make some effort, I could give you the contact details of the person who was the stable manager of Arabica and took over some of the last Arabica horses - he has some (but not all) pictures of the former Arabica horses.
