I have pm'd you. Do you know the people at BPS? If I could just find out if one/both parents are reg with an organisation I am sure I could still get him his own papers. He has the sweetest nature and obviously has been well handled, at least at some point in his life. Was a diamond for the farrier, being wormed, groomed etc. Even had a bridle and saddle on him the other day, didnt bat hardly an eyelid! |

I think he looks like one of fayelands dancing magic foals - known as dancer (sadly passed away a couple of years ago) owner by mr tony hassle in sheffield bred pewitts movie magic etc etc could be from his mare amber ??
Not sure obviously... but the shape of his head and those back whites look really familiar
Best of luck on your search |

I had Fayrelands Dancing Magic gelding and I did wonder if he was from that breeding. When I got in touch with the BPS they told me that Dancing Magic died though at that back end of 2004 or early 2005 so it may not be one of his stock. I sold my gelding this year in June, he was 13 years old and held the Zyda prefix. |

You could email Jen at the BPS and ask her if she could check his markings against any 3 year old colts that they have on file - I am sure that there aren't going to be shed loads.
get his whorls checked out same time ,good luck! |

A bit of confusion here...........my lad was by Fayrelands Dancing Magic out of Zyda Golden Folly, thus the Zyda prefix, but you are right that Peter was the breeder! |

hi, just a thought ---have you checked for a micro chip?????? you never know. they are supposed to be bringing it in that all foals have to be micro chipped as from next year. does this mean that they know that Passports are not working?????
hope your nice boy comes too. |

No there is no microchip. I can't see how thats going to work either. Unless they insist that all horses are microchipped immediately the same as they are all supposed to have passports (what a joke). Joto - do you know where Ballymaghinty is? |

Hi Pashon I dont know whether you have had chance to contact Jen Maskell at the British Palomino Society yet. If they cant trace him from his markings I wonder if they could put something on their website or in the Palomino newsletter with a photo. They are usually keen for articles and the Winter issue hasnt come out yet. Might be worth a try.
If you could mock up a poster I would happily take it along to the palomino shows for you but obviously that wont be until the spring/summer.
I hope your boy is progressing well. I bet he is looking a bit different now. Have you got any recent photos? All the best Debs |

Hiya, have you thought about posting this accross to Saddlesoap, if you think he may well be PB welsh its worth a shot, there are alot of Pali & PB welsh breeders on that forum. It is surely also possible he has come from further afield, dealers do buy & sell at sales & also amongst themselves, as an example there are several english dealers who do attend Llanybydder sales in West Wales. Godd luck with him, i think he is really lovely |

Jen at the BPS was very helpful and trolled through I don't know how many registrations but alas to no avail. She has sent me the forms for him to be registered with them though. He looks really well now (albeit a little dirty) and is ready to be backed. Will do this as soon as the weather improves. Will try to get some piccies this week for you all to see. I will get some more info out across the net and will try Saddlesoap thanks! |

Jackie K - do you think this boy could be one of Jill Duke's breeding ? She's sold quite a few to various parts of the country? He looks quite similar to a colt I bought from Jill for my daughter. |

Im sure that the foals that Jill has recently bred were all 3/4 Arab & were much finer . When i was last up at her place in 2005 she`d bred a filly out of her Arab mare Iliah, the next one was a filly & this year she had a colt by a Welsh part Bred stallion ! Sahir which colt did you buy ? |

Hi Sarah,
I bought Dukes Mountain Temptation by Jill's Cremello P/B & out of her purebred mare Gemma who sadly is now deceased. I'm sure the stallion has now been sold too.
Will, as we named him is 10 this year and is enjoying XC & SJ, he was such a sweetie when he was a yearling, still is naturally, I bought him originally to show in palomino classes but sadly his colour wasn't good enough.
My daughter is a paramedic & had loaned him to a friend of hers in Hampshire, but delighted to say he's coming back home this year |

Sorry Elaine only just seen this reply - not sure that Jill is breeding that many pallys at the moment - she is concentrating on her miniatures.
Hi Pashon, I believe you have had a phone call about a possible breeder of this pony - it relates to what I told you earlier - perhaps you should ask the BPS to check him against the markings for certain breeders horses registered. You did say at the beginning you couldn't give the whole story - perhaps you can email me if you don't want to do it publicly.
