paddock without too much grass and no feed, walking round searching for meagre pickings usually does the trick, check her a couple of times a day, if she has a hard udder not soft and going down, its OK to milk off a small amount to take the pressure off, if you strip her out she'll carry on producing.
If it gets hot and hard and sore, then she could be coming down with mastitis, and she'll need a vet for antibiotics and be stripped out at least twice a day until the infection clears.
They quite often free flow their milk if they are too full, nature's way i suppose. |
