This is a great show for amateur/home-produced and it is this weekend. Entries still being taken. This year it had to move to Arena UK (Grantham Lincs.) as Myerscough let them down ... entries are needed for Arab classes - ridden and in-hand!! We provide a trophy - won by ALiners in the past - an Egyptian Pharoah!!! There's an evening performance - need to dress up for it!
My boy won the trophy in 2005 and was 2nd in 2006. The Change of venue although a superb venue is just too far. The same as the BACS and I appreciate that if both shows were still at myerscough then it would be the same situation for someone else. Finances just arent stretching that far at the moment im gutted to be missing both shows.
I know, it's such a shame - it's always been in the N/W - at Birchinley initially, then Myerscough. It's a very busy show with multiple rings going from 8 am - last year the Gala Evening finished around midnight and the Supreme Championship was won by a palomino lead-rein pony ridden by a 4 year old girl who was still bright eyed and bushy tailed (she must have slept after her initial win during the day!!! There are classes for PBAs too ... PLEASE spread the word to anyone in the area of Arena UK ... Thanks!
It's NCPA POYS weekend so i guess a lot of people will be off to Cheshire. We should have been but i chickened out of the early start and the long drive despite the very reasonable entry fees. Doing a trailblazer qualifer onsite instead.
