Hi Nat, the colt is well grown and going to be white grey very soon. He will make someone a smashing show colt and to ride later.
I hope someone will snap him up and have some fun. He has a lovely temperament.
Montoya will not be available to many mares from next year and I understand the 'Justice' book is being closed.
We hope to concentrate on some ridden stuff with him |

I've found a picture of 'Sammy', the colt advertised for sale on the sales pages here. (Proper name Somoya).
Hope they don't mind me posting it. He is well grown and I think very lovely.

Yes, both gorgeous Montoya Babies!!! I have seen both in the flesh and they are stunning. I think Amanda is keeping the filly but the colt is for sale at what I think is an absolutely bargain price for a colt of that calibre!! I am surprised he hasn't been snapped up yet - he will be a fantastic show colt for someone next year!
Well done Monty - He is really proving to be a fantastic sire Sue

It is unfortunate that some stallions live their lives never ever being able to prove that they are great as a sire. Finding the perfect 'nick' this is the key. Funny thing is I felt the cross with El Shaklan lines would be his best cross, but after seeing the Polish cross I am going back to schoolthankfully the wonderful Egbert, who posts on here also noted that this nick would work, well she would wouldn't she and interestingly so did Ryan Jones.
Stallions have a short life to show what they can do on different mares, a whole rake of problems comes when things like market forces, lack of visiting mares, money restraints, etc come into play. Montoya has been blessed with some outstanding mares for that I am truly grateful.

What an absolutely stunning filly !
Lucky, lucky Amanda.
The colt is gorgeous too - and an absolute giveaway at that price - bit of a worrying indication of the current market for Arabs ? |

Hi Jane, (Zenitha) I think the market is not good for any arab at the moment, this colt is being sold so cheaply because his owner/breeder already has a colt she is keeping and due to a change in her circumstances, this colt has to go sooner rather than later. If you are in a difficult situation you sadly are often forced into this position. An individuals personal circumstances are effecting the price of this colt. So in a market that is depressed it always seems to make it harder to sell quickly. I know Amanda will make sure the home is of prime importance. That will be her main concern. I just hope people reading this will tell friends to go and look at this chap. We could all do with a little help from each other right now.
I just wish I felt better as I would have him here to go out and play with mine. But there comes a time, especially when you don't feel well, when you have to say no.
I have been trying my best to find him a home for Amanda, don't let the price of this one colt dispare you. We have two foals here, a colt and a filly, and no amount of money will prize them from us. |

They are both lovely Sue and Luke is very taken with the colt, but because his job takes him away so much I have put my foot down and won't allow him to have one here. I am too busy to be dealing with entires! |
