Hope your day goes well judith, and just ENJOY yourself. I am just doing a pleasure ride tomorrow at Ravendale, on Jake ( arab/ standardbred) because he has been barefoot since December, and I have not done much work with him, so need to take it a bit steady... if only !!!! Linda |

Sasha - hope you had a good ride on Jake!!
Celia -HI!!! Had an AMAZING ride on Sly - he was so Mr Cool it was rather unreal!! He was almost asleep for the pre ride vetting - lovely young lady Vet - I said it was his first ever outing anywhere at the age of eleven & she was so lovely with him!! He went out at 42!! Anyway - ride was a toughie - but he just steadily trotted round at 15kmph (had lots of time to loose after the last checkpoint to come in at 11.4kmph!!!). Rode most of the way on our own & he was really settled -no pulling or being silly shying!! Even happily escorted a young lady on a young Crabbet mare for several miles - again no sillies - he was the perfect gent!! Got back & he vetted well & got a grade 2!!!! So thoroughly delighted!!!!

Ravendale was alovely ride, some long stretches of roadwork but the bridleways made up for that. It was quite a fast ride tooo I did the 42km at 14.5km.
Met Linda from this site, she kindly asked about Kaddy, quite surprised that she knew me, but it is really nice to speak to people in person. We really could do with the arab lines polo shirts so we can recognise people.
Dee I certainly needed my sunglasses, so if you saw someone riding at Ravendale on a little mad grey mare with a white troxel and sun glasses looking a prat, I know, but I get a bad head in the sun and heat stroke so it was worth looking like a prat not to have headache and feeling sick.
