Hi :)
I've recently purchased a 15 year old, 15hh fleabitten grey gelding called Solo, registered name Silver Solitude. I believe he may have been Rose Grey when younger.
Solo has a freezmark on his shoulder which is 1E87 but this is very faded and you really have to look to find it.
Solo is a real sweetheart although he does weave and dance if stabled. He has improved since he's been here so I guess he does it when in a new environment. He is a lovely boy but appears to not like XC fences (even just riding around them means reversing at speed ).
He has a boney splint type of formation on his near hind fetlock. He also has a snip on his muzzle, one slightly higher up his face and also a small pink area to the side/bottom of his left eye.
I live in South Wales and keep Solo at home and hopefully he will now stay with us for life. I bought him from the Worcester area although believe he was bred somewhere 'up North' His breeders were R E G & E H Titterington.
If anyone has any information on my lovely boy, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks

I forgot to say that he did quite a bit of Endurance between 2003/2004 at novice level with two rides in 2005 at intermediate level. |

I haven't looked him up but I think he will be by Silver Satyr? If so plenty has been written about his sire and there is another thread about another offspring which has just been started. |

Wow, I wondered where he'd got to Solo had an amazing Ridden Show career and has Championships too numerous to mention. He had one un-registered foal prior to gelding. He lived in the North East until the age of 9 and was sold to a Dr in Worcester, I believe he was sold on again some years later after having done some low mile endurance.
If you want to pm me I can put you in touch with Jeannie his 1st long term owner. I know she'll be delighted to hear how he's doing and can probably email you lots of pictures of him in his show days. He really was a sight for sore eyes
The weaving should improve once he has his routine established and Jeannie always said carry a riding whip even if you don't use it, he respects it, firm but fair is the way to go with him. He was always a push button ride. Look forward to hearing from you
Edited to add...I'm sure he's micro chipped. |

Wow
That's fab!!! I did a ridden show class with him last weekend for the first time and said to hubby that I was sure he'd done it all before (although he bucked when asked for gallop LOL so we got placed down).
Will PM you. I'm so chuffed to have found something out about him. |

That photo looks like it was at Haydock and therefore probably one we took so there will be others ... |

Apologies if the photo is copy right I've had it stored on disc for years... There will be many more pics of Solo, he was shown regularly for quite a few years, perhaps pics from North West, Northern Group and his visit to the Nationals where he attained a credible 3rd place
Judith have emailed Jeannie, let me know if you don't hear from her and I will nag her along, her passion for horses has transfered to gardening so she spends much of her time with her hands in muck....not too much change then lol |
