At not quite 2 months old, Keiffa attended her first show on Sunday with Mum Karazal. To say I was delighted with her would be the understatement of the year! She took the whole experiance in her stride; she travelled beautifully finding the mobile milk bar just as appealing as ever. Came off the lorry and took in everything - very relaxed little madam. She was great in the ring, even if she did become super strong and very excited, she didn't do anything silly, did a cute little trot when her time came and even munched the grass while we waited for the championship.
Not great pics as taken from outisde the ring, but just wanted to share with you as bursting with pride. The bonus was that both Kara and Keiffa won so she has what we hope will be her first of many red rosettes

Ah ha, now I know who you are. What a strong lovely looking foal.
You have the up and coming handler that had the Gelding Champion at HOCON? Sorry don't know his name. He is one to watch. Lucky you. |

LOL - I do stick out like a sore thumb don't I!
Charles Wood is his name, and he and his family are great friends of mine. They all work very hard and Charles has put in so much time and effort to get to where he is now with the horses. He certainly is one to watch for the future, thanks so much for saying that - and he has strict instructions that I am to be at the top of his client list |

I know Emma it's bizarre isn't it! It was def the right photographer, that's why I mailed her thinking they had been missed somehow - but apparently not.
Oh Elizabeth honestly - her new nickname is 'the big girl' poor kid. She seems to grow literally on a daily basis and is quite stocky with it! Yes Def bring Clare over soon, we keep joking that we'll blink and she'll have a saddle on lol. I'm about Sunday if you are free. |

Thanks for the photo's they are just great I'm thrilled for you Mum and baby looked great you must be so proud. I couldn't imagine Ffaith going to a show she's abit of a witch but very loving !! Your stable name for baby should be 'booby' after the charity auction Love from Dad too he had a good weekend he had Keiffa win, Ffalcon win ridden and CR Jasmeena go Reserve Champion mare in Brecht and he didn't even have to leave home !! No action for him this year though - that makes him abit grumpy - apparantly people don't want fillies or to win at shows either - DIG DIG !! xx |

Thanks Guys for all your congratulations!
Carla - We are having an amazing year with the 'Team' - and that's really what it is, you wouldn't believe the number of people involved that make these things possible! We are just extremely lucky to all be owned by such fabulous horses
Delyth - Honestly people must be mad! I can't get over how ultra friendly Keiffa is, and you know just how aloof her Mum is! Karazal is a great broodmare, but I definitly think Ffatal has more then added his magic as I think this is the best foal she has had to date. If I had the room and money I'd definitly be sending a mare or two off to the lovely Ffatal.

Hi Nikki,
I've pretty much given up guessing lol - she's moulting out a very light bay, so this is what I will register her as. Only time will tell though I think. If she doesn't eventually turn grey over her first 3-5 years like her Mum and Ffatal then she may be a very interesting bay. Karazal has only had Chesntuts to date and they all have some degree of roaning, Keiffa already has a few white hairs coming through on her withers and back, and her tail is Black, brown, flaxen.... definitly going to be a wait and see I think. |

Well done alicia, thats wonderful news and they both look so well. Keiffa is stunning, looks a lovely foal, you must be so proud of them both.
Good luck with them both for the rest of the season. Im sure you will get many more red rosettes to add to that special first one. |
