Well
I came home from the school run to find two "lads" wandering around in our fields next to the house, they had "dodgy" written all over them .I marched out there and asked them just what they thought they were doing ..and they said " we heard you had a couple of border Terriers going free".
Like ,I am just going to hand them over to anyone who knocks on the door( or wanders thru a field in this case)!!
They were obviously of the "out hunting owt we can get" variety, so I got rid of them sharpish and said I did have a dog but its gone now and all you can hear barking are my old, crippled blind SPAYED bitches
now I cannot imagine who would have told them about the dogs I do want to re-home , but I am all paranoid now, not wanting to let the dogs out before I have peered thru binoculars from every window, the yard is already like a fort, with combination door locks,now I will have to be on watch for dog thieves
I have now submitted an ad on this main sight as I would love them to go to a horsey ( pref.Araby !)household .
You lock all doors , bolt down your trailers,have cameras placed in car park,....now we need to supervise the dogs in our own garden
