Cant believe how awful its been.. my hubbie and i brought ours in at 5pm last night in the most awful heavy down pour that had lasted hours.. Baby bless him was shivering.. This morning it was lovely to see them all spotless and dry and manes and tails with shavings in bar the coloured cob binx who had stood out in her yard all night soaked but happy!!!... Had to do a stable swap today thankfully it was dry whilst i did it as yearling all 15.1!! maybe 2 of him has outgrown his stable!!! So put the cob in there as she prefers being out so this stable she can have her yard door open and stand in the rain to her hearts content!! mad mare!!

Come and holiday with us Nutter. We've been really lucky with our weather. All the weather systems seem to be passing around us and leaving the Black Isle a lovely place to be just now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys that your weather improves and we don't end up with a summer like last year! |

Mum and dad were up in Scotland in the outback somewhere!!! for a week staying with friends peat cutting.. well my mums coloured yes and quite a dark brown she is too ..They had amazing weather mum came back BLACK!!! She said it was wonderfull but she was only just getting used to only having 2 hours darkness at night when it was time to come home!! Never realised until she said about the darkness at night lacking that time of year.. something to do with the northern light or summit will have to ask again unless you know what am meant to be saying!! Am of abroad in few weeks time with daughter and now parents coming then of again with hubbie and lisab and her other halve for a few days break.. man i need it!!! |

Yes, I know exactly what she means about the light - I love it, especially if it's a nice warm evening. Gives us so much more time to work. Were your parents peat cutting recently - that is so not my idea of a holiday! Hope you have lovely weather and a relaxing time when you go off on your hols. |

Im near edinburgh and it has rained ALL day until about an hour ago:the kids are away so i was so looking forward to a riding bonanza today but all we managed was 20 mins in the school...mind you beau had his head down for a change...I like to think it was because of my expert riding skills and not cos of the drving rain! |

You see TC, you just have to come that bit further north - although have to confess a bit cooler today which was just fine as we were showing today. Sorry you didn't get your riding bonanza. Sun dances all round I think! |

Sad person that I am but doesnt it give you a lovely feeling of warm satisfaction when you have rescued them from the terrible weather conditons to see them all tucked up warm and cosy in their stables. I think they look so grateful. I also like it when I get home, out of my wet clothes, feed my face and can relate to just how they must be feeling - Oh I know, they are animals, but they do look appreciative lol!!! |

Well TC - glad ur sundance worked. Hope you enjoyed your bonanza! It poured with us first thing this morning. I had a lesson on Akhira just before lunch - togged myself up in waterproof jacket and full length nylon chaps - convinced I was in for a soaking - out came the sun and I sweltered! Kept looking at clouds sitting on the Ben and knew I didn't dare take anything off as it would instantly rain! Of course it never, but 5 mins after lesson over heavens opened. God has a sense of humour!
Arabic I know exactly what you mean. It's like cold winter days when everyone is tucked up warm and munching, and then in to the house in front of warm fire and stodgy food. I spend all summer trying to work it off! |

Don't you just! It's worth it though for those few precious minutes of cleanliness. Glad you had a good day. |

I can't believe they are warning us of a monsoon! Its July, for goodness sake which means it should be sun, sun, sun all the way. Monday night we had terrible thunder storms with lightning, last night we had lightning and now we have a monsoon today
It looks like global warming is here |

Oh lord!!!! My poor son is in North Devon on an activity holiday with his school. They are forecast 2inches of rain today, so if you see him floating by Merlot (he's the lanky, spotty one and probably unsuitably dressed), chuck him a rubber ring and I'll pick him up as he floats past Hertfordshire!!!

Carla, will be on the look out for your son and if I see him, I'll fish him in with my trusty rod (like those ones you get at the fair to hook the ducks with the numbers on the bottom). Still belting down. |

'preciate that Merlot, but don't send him home too soon, things are so quiet around here without a stroppy 'Kevin' around - peace and tranquility!!!!! PS. You could just wave and smile, save your rod for another time!!!

Rubber ring is fine, but not the pie. It might affect his balance. Pies are all mine. |
