Grrr i hate my toaster it will either do anemic or scorched
Its the second one in less than 5 months (when we moved bought new and had to take it back as kettle broke and it was part of set!)
Ive just sat down from doing horses, kids are asleep (bliss ) hubby in bed just finished night shift so was going to sit down with laptop, cup of tea and toast with the dogs but ive burnt it! Couldn't be bothered making anymore so have eaten the not so black bits and given the dogs the rest - they strangely like it!
Any recommendations for a good toaster? Would like a 4 slice one really (cos im greedy )

I have yet to find a toaster that does toast the way I like it so recommend doing it under the grill for best results! |

I would just threaten it with a large club and tell it it's days are numbered unless it gets its act together and browns evenly. Failing that, bin it and use the grill as rosyw suggests and failing that, dig out the toasting fork and light yourself a fire. Obviously not on the kitchen floor, that would just make a mess. Borrow a neighbours if you don't have your own fire. Or, just buy brown bread and pretend it's toast. Full of useful tips me. |

my advice for itinerant (is that right word I no Know) toasters. Put toaster on let it pop up then put your bread in and then toast it. Thus the toaster has a chance to warm itself up first. Toasters are ueseless IMO use the grill. |

Then you'd be pandering to the toasters whims - letting it warm up indeed, as if..... If it can't do it's job properly, it's P45 time. |

Nooooooooooo the toaster Gremlins have moved in!!!!!! We have one at school...you put your toast in, press button down, wait...check toast isn't burning...it still white...wait some more & recheck (repeat motion about 3 times) 0.5 nano seconds after you last looked at the toast plumes of black smoke billowing out, the fecking button sticks & when you eventually evacuate your precious breakfast having burnt you fingers & almost electrocuted yourself...ITS CREMATED!!! |
