Hi Sasha,
Any chance you have a photo of Cala D'Or that you could post? I have a mare whose dam HT Janina is by Majari (Cala D'Or x Indian Spring).
Must say I love the Spanish myself and have a another mare with just a little being x 2 El Shaklan and x 1 Ali Jamaal in her sire, LM Luval.

Sorry I don't have any pics of him, it was a long time ago. He had some beautiful offspring and they had lovely heads and eyes in particular! I am sure if you email or PM Emma Maxwell or if she sees this thread she will have some of him in her archives and she can post some up  |

I'll see what I can dig out. She is a wonderful mare but never could be described as refined. She bears a close resemblance to a bullock. She is wasted with us as she has not been bred to her potential but she's happy which is more important.
I quite like the idea of using Amoroso de Salvadora over her as we did toss up between Arabian Beauty and Borneo when she went to stud. Some of you will be horrified to hear that the choice was made on name and colour. Borneo is one of the very few stallions I would like to own
I am hoping to visit him one day soon.

| I had the pleasure of meeting amoroso de salvadora just before xmas and he has what i can only describe as jaw dropping movement, was very impressed also saw a very nice young colt by him (the movement had definetley carried through). |

Yvonne- take me with you please to visit Borneo
Om El in the states have a lovely Spanish stallion (name begins with a R- but the rest fails me im afraid, he is son of Estopa, but no longer at public stud i believe)
Ses Planes also have some super spanish horses too.
Galero is also a very easy doer so another Borneo trait.
I will have to sort some pics out of him and then have a go with putting them on the computer. In the meantime there is a photo of him in the events section of this site- if you go to Towerlands UKIAHS results 2005 he is photographed there as Supreme Champion, all at the age of 5yrs and in only his novice year under saddle
And i totally agree with Sasha that Spanish blood is very valuable and it is a real shame how people today seem unaware of its value.

Hi Emma!
The son of Estopa at Om El Arab is called Estopasan, but he is by Rastano so that's prob where you got the 'R' from! He looks very nice, but he's in his twenties now. Mind you they prob have frozen semen.......

Thank you for your kind comments about Al Galero.
I now have the facilities to take mares and so yes he is available, feel free to PM me.
With regards to ridden photos, i have lots all round my house in frames, i need to sit down and scan them onto the computer however at the minute my scanner is playing up so need to organise something out with that. (In the meantime there is a photo of him in the events section on here, from UKIAHS 2005 from his first year under saddle)

Just wanted to let everyone know that the hugely talented and beautiful  Al Galero won his class at Bicton today, was Champion and then went Supreme!!!!!!!
