After asking for advice on here about whether or not its a good idea to have your photo taken with your horses on your wedding day I decided to go for it!
I got married on Sunday - yes in the hurricane winds, the veil didn't last long lol
My horses were extremely well behaved and Pat had got them ready and groomed so that they looked gorgeous. Thank you Pat My husband (!) had told the photographer that they would never behave but they were perfect.
I don't have the official pics yet but for anyone who has me on their facebook my friends have put some general wedding photos on. Only the official photographer took some of me and the horses so fingers crossed they are good ones!
I had a lovely day and can't wait for the honeymoon. So thanks to everyone who said go for it - I'd really have regretted it if I didn't

Congratulations and so glad you shared your special day with your furry friends .
Enjoy your honeymoon and make sure you post pics of you both and your guests in all your 'finery' when you return!!!
And a mega pat on the back for Pat for helping Helena realise her dream!!!

I can't believe I missed that post Pat What a lovely card, thank you so much
I don't go on honeymoon until the end of July, so I'm back at work until then.
For those who want to see pictures the photographer has put a preview of some on her blog at www.gilltaylor.co.uk
The ones of the horses that she has put on don't show how beautiful they looked unfortunately, so I'm hoping some of the others that she took are better - I think she picked the ones where I looked best lol
We have been living together for years so although we dont have everything we want we have everything we need and rather than have a gift list (and another toaster!) we asked people to donate what they would have spent on a gift to 2 of our favourite charities.
We now have £1300 to share between the Brooke and the air ambulance which is fantastic!

Helena, the pictures are lovely, and looks like you both had a wonderful day in a beautiful setting, and your horses looked brill and obviously took it in their stride. Your dress is just gorgeous and your OH ain't arf bad either!!!
I must just say, what a wonderful donation you have made to charity - the icing on the cake!!!

I was really proud of Marim, just wish he wasn't squinting in his photo! He is terrified of wind and it was so windy that day. I've only owned him a year and 12 months ago he could never have coped with the dress, the strangers and the wind. He's come on such a lot bless him
