Well firstly I had a phone call last week to ask if I wanted my grazing back, but on my own..well yes!!!!so I now have 5 acres, 3 stables and a field shelter all to myself. Warrior hasn't been to good so he is coming home. Prince was returned from his temporary grazing last week and is at present with Warrior for another week or so, until I get the yard sorted out. And Chesney is also coming home due to unforeseen circumstances next week.... My two Lonee's have been fantastic and I feel very lucky to have met them, it has certainly given me time to sort myself out.
edt for spelling
I also have just had an interview (2pm today)my first in oooo,4 yrs. I have applied to be a carer, I really want this job badly, so come on you lot, send some of your magic charm my way.
I am also looking into geese keeping as a way of deterring the little monkeys round here from going into the yard and helping themselves to whatever is lying around, so any advise gratefully received.
I think that's it for now....
Oh yes, my eldest daughter is moving back home next week, so I'm trying to get her room decorated.

Ooh, I hope your interview went well, hopefully you'll know by the time I see you!
Jack rather likes geese - he tried to stick his nose in the nest. They don't like it though.......

Glad life is going your way and good luck with the job. On the subject of geese. Yes they can be a good burglar alarm but only if they are aggressive really. I had one who was really protective of me and went for anyone who came in the yard, the others would run the other way. Also if you leave them out at night Mr Fox will say thankyou very much, supper and you will lose them so if they are shut up they are no deterrent at all. My current 2 are 18 years old and sitting on a nest with no eggs in at present so they wouldn't care if a marauding horde came in. ( I do know their age, I've had them from an egg!!). Just some thoughts for you. |

Thanks guys, there is alot of work to be done at the yard, tidying up and such, but I am made up that I have it. I have applied for evening work and alternate wkends, which gives me the whole day to play ponies. Isn't it funny how things work out, I just hope the future will be brighter than it has been, and that My boys are home to stay. |

Good luck Jilly,It sounds as if things are looking up at last My neighbours have geese & they've got a big piece of field to themselves, but they are well fenced because of the local fox & badger population paying their visits! They still made one hell of a din though, even if someone just walks past the end of their drive. The eggs are good too!! Sue. X |
