We have been literally blown away today in Somerset....loads of stuff in the yard all over the place. Puppies stayed in the house today as too windy to put them in the run! Had a new feed shed put up yesterday and it survived the wind so I think it must be here to stay! |

Same here in Norfolk, been blowing a gale all day, everything blowing around outside, gave up chasing the wheelie bins down the drive and tipped them on their sides branches down along the bridleway this morning when I walked the dog |

We had our share of wind on Saturday - it was horrendous - totally flattening some of the crops over the road. Yesterday was sheet rain, and today sunshine.... the weather is so peculiar at the mo. Everyone was making hay last week and obviously were in the know as they finished on Firday while the sun was shining. |

Absolutely yeukky day here, managed to ride a v. spooky mare this morning, got drenched, won't have done my weaterbeaten complexion any good but certainly blew the cobwebs away!! Then had a power cut for ages. So rubbish this afternoon we even watched 'The Sound of Music' all the way through - and I havn't done that For YEARS!
Stable roof stayed on this time! A while ago it peeled back like the lid of a sardine tin, luckily Hassan was outside, I was trying to hold one corner, yelling...Mum, I think we need a rope... Now my fab OH has strapped it down so well if it goes again it'll be roots'n'all! |

We have brought all the mares and fillies in tonight (all been living out as the weather was so nice) but now they are all tucked up in bed... and I've moved my car away from the big trees! Just in case! |

In North Wales well where I am anyway we have these winds for the past three days and they are promising them for the rest of the week - great! Crazy but been praying for rain for the past two weeks - will be cursing when it finally arrives. Hate the wind - give me anything else -!

well it's not windy here, but the forecast for the end of the week isn't looking at all good - it seems we may be in for our first tropical storm (or even hurricane!) of the season which starts on 1 June - the bad weather is predicted to start on Thursday so 3 days early!! I'm meant to be going to an OUTDOOR concert as well on Saturday night!!! |
