I have taken the liberty of copying this from another forum. I have not copied the photographs as they are too upsetting. The photos are of a poor dog tied in the corner of an art studio slowly dying of starvation. AND PEOPLE WATCHED!!
"In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, he tied him to a rope in an art gallery, starving him to death.
For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died. But this is not all ... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American decided that the 'installation' was actually art, so that Guillermo VargasHabacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008.
Let's STOP HIM!!!!!
Click on the following link :

or
http://www.petitiononline.com/13031953/petition.html or just copy it in your browser to sign a petion to stop him to do it again, then digit the name Guillermo Vargas Habacuc to find the petition to sign.
Please do it.
It's free of charge and it will only take 1 minute to save the life of an innocent animal"

Sorry Cazza, I don't think this is a hoax. Have you seen the photos? I think the hoax is to cover the guy's back. |

AND the worse part is that I have read that some governing body (can't remember which one but some sort of arts council) has given permission for him to do it again!!!!!!!

I've heard lots of different stories about this one.
I heard that the 'artist' didn't actually starve the dog to that state, but picked it up as a stray in that condition and was actually taking it home at night and looking after it. That he was only exhibiting the dog to show how hypocritical people can be and that the dog didn't die, but was either turned loose or escaped. Whatever the real story I find the whole concept of using animals either dead or alive as art exhibits pretty sick and I actually signed the petition months ago. It has appeared many times on every other forum I visit. |
