My 2 yr old is hopefully going out showing this year but i cant get her to trot in hand!! she walks up lovely but is happy for me to run ahead and stand at the end of the line as she keeps walking gracefully
any tips?

a bit of gentle lunging (all good for the future) so that she thinks a bit more independently and responds to a voice command.... not too much as bones still growing etc! Thankfully arabs learn quick so a couple of sessions should have you ready to trot out in hand. Spare person with the lungewhip just in case you don't get instant response too

don't do the feed thing. it's pointless. all you need to do is have her loose in the field and get her to trot while loose. when she does till her 'trot on' and praise her. when she power trots tell her 'show off' and praise. she will soon get the hang of it. that is the way we teach all of ours. the grey mare in my sig would get up off the floor and strut if i told her to show off!
when you have her in hand get her to walk and stop so that she is watching you all the time. when you first start to trot her use the 'trot on command' and keep it slow to start with always praising her. when she can watch you and balance you can start to open her trot out and tell her to show off. it takes time but is worth it in the end. as you can see from the steel grey in my sig, it really does work and many judges and stewards have commented on it.
