Hi Cinders
On a cinical (spelling) note, you don't need prize money for corruption.......
Just to show how prices of fuel have risen, last year we could fill our lorry for just over £100.00 - last weekend we went to Morrisons to fill up and they only allow a 100 litres @ 1.17 per litre, £117.00 and this only took the gauge to just above 3/4 full. So it looks like we will be paying about £35.00 per tank full more than last year - this soon mounts up.
I do feel that if you are able to attend a weekend where there are two shows then that is the way to go - I know some would say but my horse would be flat if I showed it two days in a row - but surely it is only like doing a class one day, then going in the championship the next??
May I wish everyone a successful and fun year of showing and I look forward to seeing you on the show circuit

Jackie..I cannot do that with my girl...I have done it though, about 9 years ago now....I did three shows in two days....two on one day, and one the day after! I was soo tired!
I enjoy showing, and so does Crystal, but I have to be selective about where I go and how many classes I do....her age is against her (she is 22) and with travelling as well, it takes it out of her.
We'e all said that everything is more expensive....but sadly, there's nothing we cn do about it, except moan and grumble on here..then pay up anyway, and have a bloody good time when we do go to shows!
Have fun everyone....we'll see you around at some point this year! |
