I've just been told that Jamie Gray's application to have the 29 shetlands and donkeys returned to him is to be heard at Oxford Magistrates Court on Monday 14th April at 2.30pm - Deputy District Judge Kainth presiding. Does anyone know if this is true?
Yes, so did I and wasn't that on the 4th. I know it got adjourned from the High Court yesterday and referred back to the Magistrates Court and THAT man but I didn't think a date had been set. Am wondering if the 4th and 14th are being mixed up - confused, I know I am!
hi in the sun today (yes i know its a dodgy paper) it reads as follows -
a farm owner yesterday appeared in the high court and demanded the return of 29 ponies and donkeys found starving to death in his fields. the emaciated animals were discovered alongside 28 dead horses by the rspca in january. three others were so ill they had to be shot. last week a district judge ordered the rspca to return the donkeys and ponies to jamie gray in amersham, bucks, but they refused. gray, 44 told the high court yesterday the rspca were obliged to hand them over but mr justice williams disagreed and referred the case back to oxford county court. gray and three family members have denied 125 counts of animal cruelty. they are due in court on april 28th.
Dear Members The ILPH have contacted me to say "Jamie Gray is back at Oxford Magistrates Court 2.30 on Monday 14th April" Deputy District Judge Kainth will be presiding.
My understanding is that this is to hear his application to have the donkeys and shetlands returned to him per the original ruling, the application that was adjourned yesterday and referred back to Oxford and original judge.

Yes that's right. It was adjourned and this is the new date.
So as all of this is happening so quickly I presume that the judge will have no petitions or letters offered up in court in mitigation, and we all know which side he is on
