| The ILPH officer has been to see her and agreed with everything I said, he's now trying to track down the owner to tell him to keep the mare inside and get the Farrier. He gave me his personal mobile aswell so if she get's any worse I am to call him up. You can't fault them the ILPH move quite quick eh? |

You did the right thing.
I had cause to report someonenear me last year for severe neglect I phoned them at 12.00 and by 3.30 they where there on the scene
and dealt with it.
Btw, no way on earth will your name be mentioned.

| Hats off to you for doing this, most definitely the right thing to do. Just concerned that although the ILPH have told them what to do, how long will they leave it before they check again to make sure the pony has been attended to. It just worries me that if she's already in obvious discomfort, the idea of leaving her until they get their act together (the owners), she's going to be in prolonged unncessary pain ? Or am I being paranoid ? |

| I will keep an eye on her, have to pass her to go to my boys, so will see her and if she needs help will just ring the ILPH again. |

I would have done the same thing!
I know how you feel tho I have reported some horses in a very bad state too but unfortunately one died before the ILPH spoke to the owner. But the other mare and foal got new homes and have a great future because of it.
Just imagine how you could have help if you hadn’t reported it and something happened to her.
Hopefully the ILPH will help her soon and either takes her away or they might give the father help and guidance.
and at the end of the day horses need us all to watch out for them.

welldone! you can rest assured that you did your best for that little pony because as we all know horses cannot shout for help no matter how much pain they are in! its always hard when you have got your own horses to look after and pay for to find that little bit extra money to help fund the ilph but i started a direct debit 5yrs ago, ok it might not be a huge amount but you tend not to miss it if it goes directly from your bank account. we cannot all physically help but a lot of pennies goes a long way |
