Hi can anyone tell me if Raffiti (Donax x Soloe) is 100% GSB / Old English bred? I've seen him pop up in the pedigrees of several horses over here & am just curious! I get lost on his Dams side Soloe (Tobruk x Solottie), as I can see some old American lines but am not sure if they are also GSB / OE?
Hi He is not quite 100% because of one line to Nonliker in the 8th generation. He must be about 99% GSB. The line to Nonliker comes through Tobruk's american lines. Becky
Thanks Becky, I get lost with the American lines but just noticed via the allbreed website that Tobruk's American lines via Gayza, she was imported to the UK in 1937, & her son Gharbi was born in the UK (1937)which would make them Old English wouldn't they? So assuming that would make Tobruk 100% OE?
Yes, that is right - Tobrul is 100% Old English as Gharbi and Gayza were imported before 2nd world war. Donax was a lovely horse - such a stunning head, which probably came from Ludrex.
