Hi All My two beautiful chihuahua girls, Tinkerbell and Thumbalina have been stolen today from my backyard. They were in the kitchen with the door open into the yard. I heard a squeal and ran out but they had vanished into thin air!! The back yard door had been jemmied open. Why the girls never barked is a total mystery as normally they are great little "tenters"!! I am absolutely out my mind with worry as Thumbalina is due to have babies tomorrow!! If anyone can give me any advice apart from the obvious, police, newspapers, radio etc. I would be most grateful. I am prepared to give a very substantial reward to get my darling girls back but honestly I don't know how to proceed. they have obviously been stolen to order. Please if anyone has been in this dreadful situation let me know what else I can do. Also if someone could upload their pictures for me, that would be a huge help. Many thanks and all suggestions gratefully received. Annie

So sorry to hear this, I can't begin to imagine how you feel.....
There are websites that you can put details on like Doglost.co.uk, if you google stolen dog register, several sites come up.
I REALLY hope you can locate them....Ask neighbours if they have noticed any strange vehicles or seen anything....
GOOD LUCK
I am happy to put pics up for you ljrose@btinternet.com |

OMG, Well it must be a police situation, but you can also contact your local radio station and report it s and also say you are giving a substantial reward for hteir safe return, ( the buggers might think the money is better than a load of puppies,) but people know how much can be got for a litter of pups so as you said they were most likely taken to order, not much else I can suggest, sorry |

omg - poor you and poor them. my friend had her two borders stolen - one of them was due to have puppies - did all the obvious things as you have said above. also posted a reward and some sicko kept ringing her saying that they had her dogs but wanted the reward left here or there. so be careful when posting a reward. the police said it was a hoaxer. sadly she has never seen the dogs since. i truly hope you have better luck. i wish i could offer something more helpful/constructive but sadly i can't. |

E mail me the pictures I will post them for you, it may take a while as I only figured it out how to do it the other day & it was quite possibly a fluke. Anne Hugs adh.77@tiscali.co.uk |

Hi Annie,
I am really sorry to hear this, and too, can't imagine what you are going through....
Just a thought - which stud dog did you use? If it was an outside stud dog have you thought of contacting them? Or mention to police in case there may be a connection - I hope not but another route to try.
I REALLY hope you get your girls back soon safe and sound and the puppies too are ok.
Let us know how you get on, good luck, all the best

There have been quite a few dogs stolen out of locked cars, gardens, etc., in my area recently. One of the girls that had her dog stolen put up posters offering a reward and she got a call from the thieves demanding more money than she had put on her poster. She managed to negotiate but they really mucked her about. She arranged to meet them and when they turned up eventually (after many arranged meetings where they just didn't turn up) it turned out to be two young lads with an old lady in the passenger seat with the dog. They were from the gypsy site in the next County.
Really hope you have some luck finding your dogs, can't imagine how awful it must be to have them stolen from your own home. |

The bloody scroats
They just dont care that these are someone's very much loved pets and part of a family,
I will all be about money, I agree reward money will usually get people talking,
You must be distraught, I know I would be
I hope you find them soon,
Lx

Do look at Doglost http://www.doglost.co.uk/ They will email a poster to any helper in the area and do have a good success rate.
Another thing you can do is put a poster up saying the girls are on a special diet and need drugs. It has been known that the dogs will then be returned.
Good look on your quest to get the girls back.

Get in touch with your local TV station ASAP, really make a big deal that Thumbalina is due to have her puppies any minute. Hopefully they will take the story and do a feature. Also get in touch with GMTV http://www.gm.tv//index.cfm?articleid=678
All it needs is for one TV station to take your story and the news gets around and before you know it there is a chance to get it on National News.

Aww you poor thing I would be absolutely beside myself, really hope you get them back safe soon.
Also Just to add keep an eye out on epupz thats quite a popular place for advertising dogs. They might even have a lost and stolen section im not sure but worth contacting them incase they do get any new adverts.
Best of luck x |

there was a programme on not so long ago ,a lady goes searching for stolen dogs on the owners behalf, she knew hotspots where dogs were taken to,or the areas to put posters in as to splash the reward around to the people who had stolen the dogs so basically, its paying them to give your pet back, before they are sold on.put dog nappers into google or any word (dog private eye) you can think of to try and find someone to help look, the lady on the tele don it for free but went bankrupt herself as she funded it herself and wouldnt charge . i dont know what else to suggest. good luck and do keep going be strong you will get your babies back, any photos you can put on here |
