Hi All, Many thanks for all your info and good wishes, it is really greatly appreciated. I have asked Caroline to upload pics of the girls. I will certainly follow all the links and the suggestions provided. I am located nr Blackburn in Lancashire but honestly the kids could be anywhere by now. As you can imagine I am absolutely inconsolable at the moment.I have had them from being tiny babies and they are litter sisters. They have only ever known me and with Thumbalina due to whelp tomorrow I am out of my mind with worry. Chihuahuas always need someone with them at the time of giving birth as you all probably know they are not the best whelpers in the world and often need veterinary assistance ie Cesarian Section. Please send all your positive energy to them and all you lovely Reiki practitioners please do some distance work on them both. I know they will be absolutely terrified. Sincere thanks again and I will keep you posted. Cheers Annie |

This must have left you devastated.....if you want I will print pics off and put them around feed shops and pet shops locally. I could also contact my local newspaper.....Express & Star and Shropshire Star, send them a picture. If everyone on here does this in there areas we might find them for you. Im praying that the little ones are reurned safe and well soon. I cant even begin to know how you must be feeling.

This happened to me-three times-so I know exactly how you're feeling right now.I was lucky,I got 6 of the 7 stolen dogs back, but there's never been a single day in the last 3years I haven't grieved for the one still missing or not grabbed at a chance, however remote, of finding him.Are there any encampments near you? That's your best bet but you've got to find someone who can get into them, you can't,not because it's dangerous(it is!) but because you'd learn nothing. Are there any Irish people near you that you know of?They'd have a better chance of access to the camps-if any of them are willing,no one who can avoid it has anything to do with that scum. Also contact Northern Saluki Rescue, they've had experience of dog theft by these 'people' and may have ideas or useful contacts, also any lurcher groups, they'll have contacts too. Approach all local schools with posters.Kids go everywhere and see everything.I'll watch for them here,a lot of stolen Uk dogs come to Eire.Ask Caroline to send me a pic of them? Are they chipped? That'll help get them out when they're found.Otherwise, and I'm not kidding,VALIUM. The grief paralyzes you and you'll need to keep your wits about you to get them back. |

I too know how you are feeling.
Exactly 15 years ago I was at the yard and let my Springer Spaniel out of the car to have a run around (Not knowing there was a gypsy camp down the road) before I went out for a ride. He was running around the field just next to the stables and when I went to call him in so that I could put him into the car he was not there. He knew the boundaries and he had never gone beyond these boundaries before.
I put my pony back into the stable and went to look for him. I spoke to the YO who told me of the Gypsy site down the road ,so I went down there and asked them , leaving my phone number in case they found him or knew anything.
We put posters out , rode the lanes, spoke to people etc.
Two days later we had a phone call from someone that would not say who they were, telling us where the dog was. He had been moved from the local site to one a few miles away. When we went to the second site we were taken well away from where we were told he was.(The person who had rang us told us the name of the person who had taken him and the address were he was).
We had informed the police and dog wardens and vets. We were also told that there were people that go into the sites from the council who collect the rent etc "Gypsy liaison Officers",
We were allowed to walk around the site (It was in the shape of a horseshoe) There were sheds and out buildings we called his name but nothing.
We were given a crime number by the police, but nothing else was done.
We never did get him back. We think the yard had been watched and he had been taken by order. He was a 5 year old entire dog that was a Field Trail dog.
I wish there had been things like Dogs Lost or such it would have been easier I think to get him back.
Don't give up some one will know something.
Another thing you can do is contact all the dog magazines and get them to run a piece for you.

OMG how awful for you - and the girls. You must be beside yourself with worry. I really do hope you find them soon, beautiful girls they are.
My step daughter had her Yorkie stolen from her garden a couple of years ago - never been seen since and she is still inconsolable to this day.

I am just at a loss for words, so very sorry for you, these people are just the lowest of the low, with neither morals nor compassion. I'd delete them, permanently, they serve no purpose.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome and your sanity, you must be beyond stress. So sorry. |

Over 500 posters have been e mailed out to local helpers and registered organizations
This has come from the Dogslost website
It is a shame that there is not such a web site for the lost of Horses and Ponies.

There is an error on Thumbalina's poster - it says that she is due to yelp not whelp so it might be worth amending them by hand before posting them!!
Have printed loads off and will go round this weekend. |

Hi All
Just an update re the missing girls, tinkerbell and Thumbalina. I have been totally overwhelmed by such a wonderful response from people whom I have never even met. How kind people can be! Everyone without exception is totally horrified as to what has happened especially as thumbalina is due to have her babies today. the Police have been amazing and have sent a press release to all the local and National newspapers and radio stations. I have been on one of our local radio stations today and they are running the story every hour!! I cannot thank you all enough dear friends. Say a prayer that the girls are ok and that they will soon be back home with their Mummy!! Heartfelt thanks and God Bless Annie PS. Jane, the lady who runs Dogslost .co.uk has said we must put the posters absolutely everywhere, even in our cars. she says we need to make the girls "To hot too handle"!! Please email me for a poster to print off and display Annsunnybankstud@aol.com Cheers xxxxxx |
