I just want to slap her,....theres more to life than ironing your hair and waxing yer bits!and pandering to men who are as shallow as she is. I thought that moving to the country would at least show her that you do not need designer bottled water to impress people.....no one cares what linen scenter you import from Vienna, for your ever so expensive sheets......she wallows in self doubt and she perpetuates her own insecurities.........aaarrrggghhh, see, see, she drives me mad...GET A LIFE WOMAN!...okay rant over....I read her coloumn every 6 weeks or so as she is not my favourite kind of person.....you might have noticed. |

Hi I have read Liz Jones for the past few years, with the husband and the cats and now the horses ... that woman seems to make out she is the only one! Perhaps she should realise she is now in the real world... well she manages to buy herself a pad for her ponies and cats which most of us could only dream of and she is worried that she won't be able to get botox at the local beauty salon. Ok, the husband was a total wally .. how she put up with that for the length of time she did I don't know, but what did she want?? a medal?? Fancy pandering to him the way she did and letting him put her down time and time again. (have to say I have done this many a time myself but I don't perport to be perfect!) So, who feels sorry for Liz? I do in a way because obviously money is very important to her ... perhaps the lesson to her is that there is more beauty is something given for free than anything money can buy... and by that I mean the unconditional love her horses and cats give her is more precious than anything you can buy whether that be material or the attention of another human being. Sorry Liz, I can't help reading and tutting and I'm only 38! S x |

Anyone want to start a book on how long she actually remains in Exmoor or Dartmoor wherever she is, before she high-tails it back to London . Now i'm a real clothes horse, but given what that lady has i know what would be more important to me, having read what she had bought for her blind date with this american i went on to net-a-porter and nearly fell off my chair when i saw the price of some of the stuff. mind you there was a killer pair of alexander mcqueen stilettoes that i wouldnt have minded |

Ooooh Im going to be controversial and stick up for Liz. I despised the woman when she was stuck in London and kept taking back her cheating, inadequate, whimpering husband.
I always read her column when waiting bleary eyed for the horses early morning sugar beet to 'cook' and I cant face reading anything serious. Ive noticed that she has some self esteem issues over the years Ive been reading her column but that doesnt make me hate her.
Now she is in the countryside with her huge mansion and her rescue horses I really like her. She might be very materialistic but she is a self made woman! Its her own money she is squandering on high heels and brazilian waxes not her husbands. She also must spend a huge amount on her horses and obviously cares for them a lot.
For those who dont know Liz Jones writes a column in the Mail on Sunday magazine. |

No sorry, I used to read her column in the YOU mag and I seriously wanted to slap her daft. Who, in their right mind, would put up with a gold plated tosspot like her husband ? They deserved each other really, cos she didn't do the decent thing and dump him long before she actually did and he was just a self seeking, needy, deluded parasite. A case of put up or shut up and bigger fool us for bloody well reading it !!
Now she's down in Devon slowly making the local Vets very rich. Maybe the heart is in the right place but I just can't be doing with the poor me, me, me, me.
There now, that feels better

Moi, Judith, wrong side of the bed - I'm just happy I can get out of any side of the bed Sometimes in her articles there were a few funny/amusing items but once it started going bosoms up with her husband, it just became very wearing.
Really hope it works out with the horses for her though, nothing wrong with trying to live the dream |

tuna with a twist! ... Liz, if you are reading this, I am sure you are a nice person really and just write like that to get the reading folk of the You magazine hooked on your column as it was a bit like a soap opera. Hope the cats are ok! Oh and are your hunters those really expensive £200 a pair one's :o) And do you get your horsey shipments from Harrods? S x |

Yes I wonder if she knows about laminitis and the like - she doesn't really let on exactly how horse-knowledgeable she is does she? I am sorely tempted to email her as invited at the bottom of her column every week!!! |
