Hey Karen

I had my first grey hair at 26 last year, I pulled it out and for about an hour felt awful and tried to convince myself that it WAS blonde!!

It leaves a horrible feeling

I had some before I was 20!! I had very long hair until I was 26, and at that point peaple kept asking if I had been painting!!!
(Like the Mallen Streak in Catherine Cookson Novels, or Herman Munsters wife)

Anyway it had to go, and I wasnt going to dye loads of hair.

So.............
I didnt tell anyone and I had it all cut off to the style it is today.
When John saw me he laughed, then when it sunk in, he was furious.
He wouldnt look or speak to me for over two weeks. It was hilarious really.

I am very grey around my temples, and neck, but a marle effect everywhere else. That Is if I didnt have it coloured

Dont worry, there are much worse things, you can always colour the bits of grey, and no-one need ever know.

i have started to get grey hairs (its all my dad's fault ) i think i must have inherited the go grey early from his side of the family as on my mumn's side they go grey very late. it would have been ok if i was still blonde, but i'm so dark now it looks terrible, at least its underneath my fringe so is not terribly visible, needless to say my roots get re-touched regularly. when it starts to thin, i will seriously consider a wig

OMG! If I were to worry about every grey hair I'd be totally white by now when I have time I go to the hairdresser and get it dyed, and have a friend who insists on proudly showing me her ONE grey hair, she thinks at 51 she should have loads like me
There really are more important things in life to worry about other than going grey and it does give you a good excuse to go to the hairdresser more often

At 44 I have some grey hair too, where as my sister who is 41 doesnt have a grey hair on her head. Like others, I have blonde high lights and some darker lowlights, that at least covers all the grey!!!!

Think I'll give that one a miss I have to admit I don't often go to the hairdresser, quite honestly I hate going, I always get told I should have my hair shorter, but at 51 I think I can decide for myself how long my hair should be I have always had very long, very thick and very curly (going into ringlets) hair, and I want to keep it that way, it may not always be fashionable but OH and all my friends have threatened to kill me if I ever cut it so most of the time I make do with DIY
