Hi - The Rhuallt field is just a little further along the A55 and very easy to find as it is on the original main road that was there before the A55 (parallel basically). Think it is junction 27 or 28 (can use both)and it is a lovely venue with plenty of space. If you can find the college you can certainly find the Muleberry/Rhuallt field! |

Ok - just to update you all April Show at Northop College will revert back to our original format of ridden in morning and in hand in afternoon. Classes indoors and working outside unless the weather is yummy in which case we will swap. Judges are Ian Woodward for In Hand and Anne Leaver for Ridden. August show at Rhuallt will have a separate light horse ring too - classes and judges to be finalised. Laura |

hi just abit of advice it would be handy if you put a to the show sign up so no one does what we did and miss our class at the northop college. we had the right road but because of the lack of a sign. and the show well of the road. we still enjoyed the show. eventhough our arab never left the trailer

Hi I am new and have not been an AHS show before as I have concentrated on the Palomino side of things ..just wondered what the format was and if part breds were included. I have had a few clinics at Northop with my boy (rising 5 canter still like ravelled knitting!) with Debbie Jones.
Thanks S x |

Yes I would expect part bred classes at the North Wales show, they are not as well supported as we would like but those who do enter often bring us real quality animals.
Is your part bred also a palomino? Otherwise as with general showing classes it would be expected to be plaited, but palominos at Malvern are left with loose manes, but please check with Sue / Laura just to be sure.
Both in hand and ridden, including novice ridden. I expect they will also do the pre-novice ridden, for the horses first time ever outing or those riders like me who have had horses for ages and not actually competeted them, or never been placed! |

Hi Sue - yes we will be running the prenovice classes (a purebred and a partbred/anglo) ridden classes. These are the first classes of the day so you get the quietest working in and are judged from the ground - judges typically being very encouraging and forthcoming with the advice!! Come along... do. Don't think we have a rule re plaiting palaminos. The second show (at new venue for us) has a separate light horse ring so more classes for the partbreds / veterans / juniors etc etc. Mail northwalesahs@hotmail.co.uk and we will make sure you get both schedules when completed. Partbreds have been thin last season but super quality so tell your friends and see you in April!! |

Hi Sally (luv the pics of ur new girly btw ) I think we are working to 'not before 1pm' (how civilised!) When Angela is assessing ridden entries, if there are large numbers and we think later, we will post again. But work toward 1pm atm. |

i am now wetting my self with worry, wish there was a dvd you could buy showing you how to make your horse look show ring fab, and stuff. We even did a practise drive over to the college yesterday so i don't get even more stressed out on the day. Baz i am sure is just going to look at me like i am a nutter! Hope everyone is well and looking forward to a great day. |
