Well the village had its' firework display last night and boy was it loud ! My in-foal mare was very worried, the radio was up & lights on & I stood by her with a pocket full of apple, but it was very hairy for 10 or 15 minutes as it was only across a couple of fields. 16 month old filly wasn't bad, just stood at the side of her box wondering what mum was so upset about. At least now the big one is over (and I do mean BIG, they seem to go all out to get the biggest loudeat that they can. It's organised by the local landlord I think) Now I guess its the garden ones & there're bound to be plenty of them. I think next year I may put a notice on the village board, to ask people not to forget the animals at this time of year, On a similar vein to Chris James' brilliant one. Thanks Chris!
How can a hose do so many droppings in only 15 minutes 1!? Good Luck to all in the same boat. X

Nightmare! Glad they o.k though. Helen thats awful.
I must admit, i act more crazy than my horses, they used to be right on the outskirts of Cardiff, but further up the mountain now, but the pub next door to the field has a display. They all deal with just fine, and last year me and Squiff were watching the display.
