My sister had her open day on saturday for her new livery yard (she had advertised on AL) The aim was to have fun and get a livery booking both which she did!!
Karen (not sure of her user name on here) came and took many amazing pics of the arabs that i took out for a play They are i think really lovely not that i am biased at all She really has a fab eye for a good shot
Hopefully she will post some for you all too see

Thanks for posting the pics here Karen, I have been showing them off to everyone as there so fab.
Saturday was all a bit of a blur but as my sister has said we all had a great day and the weather was lush and all the horses were looking so well. The feedback from the day has all been very encouraging.
I still can't beleave I went to bed at half past 8 that night, the earliest I have been to bed in a very long time!!!!

What stunning horses ! What's the lovely ridden grey called? Where is this fab yard, it looks absolutely gorgeous. I guess near Uffington Oxford or is that a different chalk horse? Wish I could keep my horse there .

Thanks all for lovely comments on horses that where expertly captured by Karen
Jen - the ridden grey is Kouros my gelding, not known by many people as he isnt shown anymore, he just does jumping and hunting now.
The yard is in a very small village called Alton Barnes which is Nr Pewsey, Wiltshire - the white horse is on one of the hills of the Downes which surround the yard, it is really really pretty - I dont actually even keep my horses there, I was just visiting my sister for the weekend I rode up through her grass gallops on the sunday morning before I left to get a closer look and it is just miles of off road riding, heaven |

Remember now where i knew the name Kouros from if its the same one? Think freind of mine Noel rode him in a ridden class at Bicton about 97? Did Tina once own him? If the same one, how old is he now then? |

Thanks for all the lovely comments.
I know the answer to that one nutter though im sure my sister will be on later!!
Yes Kouros was owned by Tina, I think he is 12 now I should know as he is the same age as my horse but Flo always has to remind me as I don't realise the years flying by!!!
Could perhaps have been ridden at Bicton by Noel though I doubt in 97" as he would have been to young! Not sure when Flo got him think it was when he was 4 and I know Flo has taken him to Bicton but what he did prior I don't know!! |
