Hi Everybody, fascinating thread, thank you.
As a purebred breeder person myself who edits an (with lots of help!) and who always struggles to find appropriate part-bred and Anglo stories for it - how do I find contact details for the right people?
I know in a general sense that Crabbet Arabian blood (the magazine concerned is the Crabbet Journal) has contributed hugely in the past to part-bred breeding of many kinds. I am not in the loop of part-bred people however and struggle to find out what event results I should be checking, and how to find the relevant pedigrees of the horses concerned. The AHS is partly the problem here as I can check pure-bred pedigrees online very easily but not so easily part-breds of any kind.
I am only one person and, even with help, do not have the resources to trawl through hundreds of event results especially as many non-showing results give no indication of horse's breeding at all. Suggestions please!
I would LOVE to feature our part-bred superstars and agree that they are a very important part of the Arabian picture - but I need help!! Recognition on offer if you'd like it!!
Please PM me if you think I could do a feature or story on your horse or stud. Alexia |

My part-breds have a significant percentage of Crabbet blood and I have traced their pedigrees back to the Blunts' imports. I would be very happy to contribute to the Crabbet Journal. |

Would love to hear from those of you that have great part-bred success stories. Please PM me or email me at zobeyni.crabbet@virgin.net with material for Crabbet Journal. If you have the pedigrees but don't know if the Arab blood is Crabbet, I can check it. It is only that I have trouble finding the pedigree in the first place unless it has been entered up on allbreedpedigree.
So send it all my way. Thanks. Alexia |

Thanks Alexia, is it only PBA/AA with verifiable crabbet blood which is of interest?

Thank you to everyone who has sent me emails and pictures. I am cycling through them all and have now replied to everyone except Garnet - will email you tomorrow but running out of time tonight. It is all fascinating and I think I am going to end up with enough material for our next several issues!
Please all add me to your address book and continue to let me know of sucess stories and consistent families - it is wonderful to be getting this great response. I did try once before on a Palomino thread but did not get much that was of use. So please keep it coming my way. Thanks again everyone. Alexia |

I have only just seen this thread but notice that many of you comment that the AHS does not cover articles on the topic of Partbreds or Anglos, because they are not interested (sorry brief summary) THIS IS NOT THE CASE! It is really difficult to get volunteers to write articles and they would welcome them. Putting the magazine together is a lot of hard work and we do have to rely on people making contributions. They are always on the look out for good news stories too especially on horses that have performed and done well - so if any of you are keen to put pen to paper and write an article then please contact the AHS. |

Hi Alexia
If you contact Lynda Temple who posts on her as Lynda im sure she will always give you a hand with pedigrees for anglos and part breds. Lynda is on the commitee for the Cherif Champs and really tries to promote them.
My anglo mare contains crabbet blood through her sire although im not sure of the percentage. Her name is Naomi Nurha, her sire Blue Madrigal (AA) and dam Honey Lady (TB). I will email you some details as she has been very successful under saddle. |
