Lol at you lot...... but just so as you know and to carry on boring you all rigid
Tayf has dark blue and dark green and black and royal blue (this came with him) Musjid mostly wears white but does have dark green too.
Tayf did get to borrow one of Musjid's whites but he is far too dirty. Don't know why. Went on white came off brown. Whereas white goes on Musjid and comes off white. I do brush him the same as Mush - honest!
Gold lame would be very fetching.
Did buy Tayf a new bridle but not mad keen on it. His current saddle is black but if I buy a new saddle it will be brown. He can then have Musjid's brown show bridle - as Musjid will not be going to any shows anytime soon.
I'm such a bore but I don't care...... |

OK so today we go on new hack for Tayf. So lucky Sam gets the gig. I'm on the Boy Wonder and another lady on her Polish horse comes along for the ride.
Tayf spends the whole time being very chilled and not spooking and walking on the end of the buckle. We get to the part where we have to go along a wide green stretch. Lovely grass and quite undulating but in a gentle way. its about half mile long.
Well the Polish horse spooks at a bird in the bushes and Musjid uses this as an excuse to want to run on. Naughty horse. Hanging on to him for dear life. This is not part of Tayf's training to watch Musjid gallop off into the distance. Nooooo.
We then get overtaken by the game-keeper in his truck whose wheels make a funny noise on the stubble. He can't get on the green as we are on it and he obviously has got the hump. The Polish horse is at this point is scared out of its mind and routed to the spot. So I turn Musjid round to go back for her. She shoots off. Musjid does a full spin round. Front feet off the floor not too high - but high enough thank you very much and once again I have to stop him from running on; but not before he has over taken the Polish horse and given it a look. All this time Sam is sitting pretty on Tayf and just taken up a slight contact. He did spook as Musjid and I ran past but he just slighty turned his head to the left.
Tayf is a saint - whats the saying about while all around you others are losing their heads.
I did ask Sam if I could swap with her perhaps she would ride Musjid the rest of the way. She said NO! and then laughed. |

You definitely need to include a halo in your shopping trip for a new wardrobe - Tayf most definitely deserves one, bless him!!! What a sweetheart

Oh what is that strange light shining in the distance, it is blinding me..............oh it's only Tayf's halo What a little star. Had to laugh though, been there on many an occasion - oh they have such a sense of humour, our dear Arabs - mind you, you'd think that now and again they'd think of a new "spookscuse" - I mean "bird in the bushes" is a bit old hat now. Merlot occasionally uses the "butterfly with the AK47" excuse.
Lovely to hear that things are going really well - long may it continue. |

Sorry Pixie but I did titter at your account of the new hack!!! Naughty Musjid!!! No wonder next time you took him out he was having an old day - exhausted from careering round the green in front of the angelic, but I'm sure bewildered Tayf!!! To think you thought the old boy would be the safest option! He was just showing Tayf how to keep Mum on her toes!!! |

I sort of knew Musjid would be cheeky on the green as its a big long stretch of lovely green grass and he always does the same thing He comes round the corner and does the whooooo hooooo race track thing. Which is why put Sam up on Tayf as thought he would do the same thing. I forget he has never raced. Litle did I know that Saint Tayf would do nothing. Musjid was made worse by the Polish mare though.
Saddler came. Oooooh yessss! Saddle fits Saint Tayf but not the lardy arse Pixie. The Pixie needs a VSD 17 inch not a GP 16 inch made for a teenage boy 4 years ago. Saddler said I was doing very well in the saddle considering. I'm feeling quite happy with my little world thank you very much. My OH didn't even flinch about buying a new saddle. He is a nice man! And lets face it you don't get many of them to the pound these days. |

Oh Pixie he is lovely, well they both are. How old is Musjid? V. sorry, am higgorant of his/your acheivements but he looks great.
Tayf is gorgeous, and well worth the wait. To me he looks (about the head - it's an eye/muzzle thing) just like my dearly departed boy. Hope you have loads of fun together. |

Saint Tayf lost his halo today. still has the harp; but his wings have fallen off too.
We were going round a headland and the cows stampeded and charged us. There was a fence in between. The horse I was with span round and off she galloped. Tayf did a mini rear so I dropped (threw away more like) the contact and off he followed. Don't think he really knew why or what he was running for or from. Poor boy. Finally pulled him up when the mare pulled up. Hey ho no damage done. I was all for going back but the girl i was with was a bit "windy" and didn't want to. Sam will be doing "cow" training next week whilst I am sunning my body in Kefalonia. I may take him back tomorrow if the Combine Harvester is not around. Think that field is due to be done tomorrow. We shall see.
On a final note - not a neck strap in sight forgot all about sitting into the saddle. lol |

Laughing at Moosie, but she always knows how to put things into perspective AND would Tayf have done that if not encouraged by the other horse
We all lose our halos now and again

I can't blame him, Tara really dislikes cows too...the only time she's reared with me in ten years was when a cow charged her!! |

I'm still enjoying myself.....
and yes Moosie you are right - bless him.
and Linda don't know really. Don't think he would have got quite so far and he would definitely have been made to go back had I been on my own.
Evie - He will NOT be afraid of cows. Charging or otherwise. He will get over it. |

He he obviously the bad influence of the other horse and I have to say I also run when cows charge towards me in fact my friend's other half and myself have ended up ontop of a very large muckheap before with her still walking a long saying now whatever you do don't run! |

Well he has been having cow training whilst I have been away. The cows did charge but the horse he was with just stood its ground and so did he. Evidently he wiggled a bit but didn't run off. Halo has beeen reinstated.
Things are coming along...... a new saddle is defo required though. |
