Thank you everyone........
Well he was fine in the field last night. Did all his poos in two giant piles. Good boy. No scurrying around trying to find them unlike the other orange boy and is paddock friend (also orange). Bought him in, had a groom, seemed to enjoy the fuss. Then off we went to the indoor school for a bit of a lunge. Yep absolutely fine. Took it all in his stride. Then a mane and tail comb out and a feet painting sesh, sun tan cream and fly bonnet. All is well. Back to the field where he is munching. Don't think I'm going to have the same feed issues with this one. Hooray. Might have to watch the wobbly belly though. (me and him both). Hopefully back shoes next week and if all is well the week after he can go in the paddock with my other boy and his 21 year old orange friend. They will be the 3 orange amigos. Bless them.
Shall ride in the indoor school tomorrow - yee ha. Hacking the Boy Wonder this afternoon.
I'm struggling to find a routine - mind you its only the first morning. Had to keep thinking what next. Nearly forgot fly repellent as I'd all ready done it once. lol.
Anyway I shall bore off now. |

I can't believe I missed you putting this up - I was waiting patiently for it to arise on the discussion forum so I could express my joy with an array of smilies! lol
I am absoloutly over the moon for you - I think Tayf has found himself a wonderful new home where he will want for nothing. Only got to know you briefly via Al but you are a wonderful person and I am so pleased that you're perserverance paid off!
I look forward to seeing lots of updates on how the two of you get on, and when you will be out in public

I am told that there is a low key dressage competition on locally on 9th August. Blimey he is only having his shoes on on 7th. My friend reckons WE ARE GOING. Not so sure that I'm going - she can take him and see what he is like in front of the scarey mirrors. Don't mind making a fool of myself but give me another month to do it in. I don't think we will be any where near ready. He might be..... lol |

oh yes he must go!!!! scarey mirrors wont be a prob - by the time you have had your couple of minutes warm up he will be well used to them (and believe me I have taken quite a few into an indoor school with premonitions of disaster in front of said scarey mirrors) ok if he looks at them a little bit you may drop a mark or two - but who caresjudges are far more focused on the general way of going etc than the odd "glance" in the mirror |

Oh that's fantastic, as he he! Stunning! Only one problem though, how are we all going to be entertained without your tales of woe (mind you some bits were much to sad to be entertaining!) Well done, i hope you're both very, very happy together! Ros x |

Thank you one and all for all your good wishes. I am very happy.
Well so far he has been a very good boy. I didn't ride him today. My "jockey" got on him as there were diggers and all sorts going on outside the indoor school. Unseen and not understood to new horses. He was a bit tense and a bit sharp but nothing naughty just the newness of the school. He eventually relaxed and was fine. bless him.
Took him for a walk down the field walkway and when I got level with the Boy Wonder's field the Boy Wonder WAS eating..... he looked up and looked down and then did a double take. Screamed, wrung his neck (which he doesn't do very often) and charged at the fence snorting. Made me chuckle. Tayf ignored him. Snigger. They are soooo funny.
Tayf is a sweet horse. Lets hope I'm still saying that in a weeks time. Back shoes 7th August. It can't come quick enough. Tomorrow he can have a little looksee at the walker. See what he makes of that me thinks.
I can shut up if you are all bored. |

At last...Knew you would get there in the end but what if he tears off the mask in a scoobydoo styley and reveals himself to be none other than a five legged unicorn breathing fire?.........Ok ...just a thought....I need to sleep now....LOL |
