Can anyone with a knowledge of bloodlines give me an insight into this colts pedigree. He is by Valerio ibn Eternity out of Prahmucha NL. I dont know much of his dams pedigree, i think she may be by Kupiec(?) How do i work out the % of egyptian/polish/russian this colt has? Many thanks in advance! Han x

Hi Hannah
Prahmucha, grey mare 1994, bred by M A Van Den Berg De Hoog of the Netherlands.
Sire- Kupiec (Probat x Kura) Dam- Penelope HT (Pentagon x Padan)
From my quick glance she is a straight Russian mare.
Volcanos sire was of course shown in Europe, in fact think it was the year you came to Aachen with us. Think he was shown by ETC. Think he was the one that there was all that talk about having some sort of throat prob/ op, not a cleft palate but something or the other, i cant for the life of me remember what it was but remember a statement from the ETC saying it wasnt hereditary or something like that. |

Hi emma, Thanks for the info on Volcano's dam, So i guess that makes him half egyptian/half russian. Sorry to be a bit dim, but who/what is ETC? I'm not so clued up on European showing Was the throat problem with Valerio ibn Eternity serious? I have heard nothing of this and would be grateful for a bit more info on this, as if i decide to purchase this colt, he would be used as a breeding stallion, and anything that could possibly impact on that would need further investigation. Thanks! Han x |

Hi Hannah
I honestly cant remember the problem or even if it was him or another Eternity colt! The ETC is the European Training Centre, Philippe Hossay and Johanna Ulstrom ( excuse the spelling errors!)You may find details of it on the other website (SE.com )if you search. I dont think it was a hereditary thing and it didnt stop the colt from winning. |

Hiya Jutta, I'm not looking for a Valerio colt imparticular, just any top quality colt, regardless of sire/dam! Do you have details of your colt? My e-mail is forever on the blink, but if u like you can PM me here, or just post the details in this thread. Love to hear more about him! Best Wishes. Han x |

Hi Hannah,
here's a picture of our colt, he's called Ka'im. So his sire is Valerio Ibn Eternity. His dam is Bess-Diyah, she's by Mosalli out of La Shaklero by El Shaklan.
He's got lots of attitude and excellent movements.

Ka'im is 3months old now. I have to sell him because I'm keeping my yearling colt and I don't have the space to keep any more colts. |

It must be awful having to decide which to keep! He is a beautiful colt, im guessing he will be grey like his sire and dam (very nice mare by the way!). I've been looking for a colt/stallion for about 6 months now, and its so difficult trying to decide between all the various bloodlines and types. My preference is for straight egyptian, although i do like polish and russian lines too. I have a limited budget of £30,000 for a top quality horse, and am not adverse to importing, but would obviously like to find something closer to home.

yes it is so hard to decide. If I had the space I'd keep them all Ka'im will indeed be grey like his parents, he's almost completely grey already. Here are some new pictures of him I took today.
and here's his mother again
Good luck in finding your perfect colt. I wouldn't know how to choose either with all those different bloodlines. |

Thanks for your replies! I would definately be interested in more details of the Babson colt Monique. Likewise the Magnum Psyche Colt, although not too keen on chestnut (if indeed he is!). I'm afraid i'm very difficult to please when it comes to buying horses! lol! Emma, i think you have me confused with another Hannah! Don't own any horses at the mo, last one was a few years back, i've had a bit of time off horse-ownership due to an injury, which is luckily now mended and am ready to get back in the saddle, so to speak I'm looking for a stallion that i can show in-hand, that will eventually become my main riding horse. I'm relocating early next year and will hopefully have my own land, so getting a colt/stallion to begin a small breeding herd is my main ambition. I am looking for something really, really special, but obviously dont have mega bucks to spend, just some hard-earned savings! If anyone else knows of anything that might be suitable, please dont hesitate to post on here or PM me. Thanks! Han x |

Hi Hannah
My mistake the horse in your picture made me think you were a different Hannah. Good luck in your search, i guess you really need to decide if SE is really what you want to breed once you have your herd. |

Sue, i've emailed you
Emma, its no probs! The horse in the Picture is HS Wandal (Wojslaw/Wioletta) a Polish gent that im trying to trace. I owned him 2000/2001, but unfortunately, due to a change in circumstance i had to ask that Halsdon take him back. Cant seem to find out where hes been since though! |

Got your email thanks Sue! Unfortunately hes way too big for me, at 16.2hh, i think i'd be severely overhorsed (im only 5'1!!). Bearing in mind that this colt/stallion is to become my main riding horse, i have to think of his size in relation to mine! Both my boys that i used to own were 15.3hh, one a Crusader son who stood very upright and always seemed taller than he was! I think 15.3hh is definately gonna be my limit Thanks for searching him out though! Keep them coming peeps, i know the ideal horse must be out there somewhere. Oh and good luck with your prospective mare Sue, hope all goes well on Friday! Best Wishes Han x |
