I had a letter from Gari Dill Marlow this morning to tell me that My friend Sharon Patton breeder of WSA Charismma in Nevada has just died. she was an angel to me , never tiring of answering questions about Charismma, and we were in touch just a couple of weeks ago. she has been ill for years now and had to give up the horses. She was offered Huge amounts of money for Charismma, but always turned them down, she genuinly cared about him and wanted me to have him. At the time I had Bambooki but I had loved Charismma ever since I set eyes on him as a 3 year old and have followed his life ever since. it was meant to be that he should come here and Sharon has been so happy about it. God bless you Sharon ,in heaven , free from pain in perfect peace. Gari remarked on the fact that Sharon died on the same day as Lady Wentworth ,8th of August1957.

So sorry to hear this Lynda (((((HUGS))))) and thoughts go to you and all her family & friends. You have a huge reminder of her with Charismma, and as you say, she is now free from pain and can rest in peace knowing he is with you and will always be cherished. |

I have been looking all day for a photo of Sharon to show you, she was such a lovely person and that is evident as soon as you clapped eyes on her, but I am afraid I couldnt find one I still cant believe she has gone, I wonder if anyone else met her when she came to the Uk? I know Silverdales did and of course Alun Prothero, but he has gone now |

If you cannot find one of Sharon you could post one of Charismma in her memory - I'm sure she would appreciate that. Very sad news - but no pain now x |

Dear Lynda,
For me the significance of her passing 50 years to the day of the passing of Lady Wentworth is a nudge to all small breeders anywhere dedicated to creating quality. Sharon may not have been the biggest breeder in the world but by heaven she created great quality...Sharon Patton will never be forgotten.

Ok here is her quote "my jewel in my crown" she loved him right up to the end . She believed in the golden cross of Carmargue with Bint Shantu Halima, it worked perfectly for her and she was extremly proud of WSA (Windsong Arabians)Charismma ***, so until I can find the picture of her, here he is, for her. |

She did Suzanne she would have taken him back to the states in 2000, but her health was bad even then I think she knew she would not be able to cope, and decided his best hope for happiness lay with me, his number one Fan she always knew he was loved and cherished and that meant the world to her, but since he has been here with me I have called her regularly and everytime a new baby is born , she has kept up with all the news about him with the pride of a mother as soon as I found out he was the only ECAHO rated 3* stallion in the UK I called and told her she had BRED this wonder imagine her pride bless her |

Thanks for all your kind words concerning Sharon, ( the picture was taken on an african safari, hence all the lovely african jewelry.) I am still reeling from her passing as she just was no age
