I'm trying to find the bloodlines of our first ever Arab - he was called Dom Miguel and he was bred by Joan DeMulder in Warks. Mum thinks that his dam was Queen Yasimet and he was probably born in 1981. Has anyone got any ideas?

In that case he is not registered in the database. They only have this Don 1980 ch (Q Yasimet) and another Don 1984 gr (US). Sorry!

Thank you all so much - Mum admits to being a bit senile already! She remembers Silfah as well, but I have never heard of Ibn Shirar! Mum bought him at 18months old from Melton Mowbray sales, she sold him when he was 11 to a lady called Sally Grant who had alot of success in endurance with him - I wonder if he is still around or if anyone knows Sally? Thanks everyone for your efforts!!!

Soooo sorry, I have just seen this thread. I bought "Queen Yasimet" from Joan DeMulder when she was 16, and in foal to Ibn Elijah, but I really don't know much about the foals she had before then.
She had a colt by Elijah who I gelded and sold to a dear friend. Sadly he died at just 6yrs, my friend was heartbroken.
Queenie was my "foundation" mare and went on to have 3 beautiful fillies by Zeyn for me:
Tahir Yasmina, bay mare who went on to have a filly "Tahir Mahmouna" by Sheikh Mahmoud, and now looks after her owner on pleasure and endurance rides.
Tahir Yasindra, chestnut filly, who sadly had to be pts after a field accident at just 3yrs old.
Tahir bint Malika, bay mare, still here with me and just scanned in foal to Taj el Nil (her first foal, so fingers crossed).
Sadly Queenie was pts aged 28 due to failing health. Queen by name and definitely Queen by nature, she was always regal, always the boss and always a lady!!!
I can scan some photos of her for you tomorrow and post them, but for now, this is her daughter, bint Malika as a yearling
And as an adult:
Hope this is interesting for you.
Carla, xx. |
