Thanks for those Sarah, they're great!. I will add them to my collection I have seen Icon up for sale quite often. I wonder why she's taken so long to be sold :(. She's beautiful... |

Yes she`s lovely, my friend Rachel was going to buy her when she was a yearling but Josie wouldn`t drop the price ! Then i sent my friend Tina up to see her ....it was winter & she looked like a yak so Tina ended up buying a foal which was her 3/4 brother Legend Moon Eagle instead ! His sire Ghost moon is Silver Moonlight`s son Its a shame as shes a lovely friendly mare as you can see from the pic of her & my daughter that i took 5 yrs ago! Shes 12 now & i guess no one wants to start breaking one at that age ! Princess & Fantasy are both 14.2hh , Royale is about 15.1hh, shes the dam of the cremello stallion Moonhaze Silver Spiral & Icon is about 15hh |

Hi Debbie, Thanks for that
Have you ploughed through all those Palomino mags yet? Do you have any pics of Cornish Venture? I've never seen her :( |

Hi Indi Yes - have catalogued every photo in the magazines from 1968 to date on a spreadsheet so that I can find them easily in future. Dont worry only took a rainy afternoon but saves loads of time when you know you have seen a photo that someone would want but you cant find it!!
Cornish Venture was Diana May's foundation mare so I am going to try to give her a ring. I bet she will have some baby pictures of Moonshine Vision as well because she bred him.
Jazz and I came second to Diana's Roundhill Maysong last year and she was so friendly and interesting to talk to so I am sure she will be able to help on this one.
Will let you know how I get on. Fingers crossed. Debs |

Hi folks Have obtained some more old palomino magazines from the 50s and 60s and discovered a bit more about Moonshine Visions breeding.
Frogmore Irish Gold was born 1960 and was 14.2 hh. His stud advert says that he was BPS vol III no 184 by Irish Dance (ch) out of Goldie (pal). He stood at Frogmore Stables (RF Barbery), Tregoney, Truro.
No pictures I am afraid.
The advert says that Frogmore Irish Gold is half brother to Champion Palomino Dancing Gold who I have found this photo of. As you can see it says that Irish Dance was 16.1hh and the winner of 9 races. I have updated Allbreeds accordingly.

Hi Sarah I will have a look for you. Am on a roll with this at the moment though. Here is a picture of Goldmount Majesty who was the very first palomino saddlebred imported into UK. He is Moonshine Visions great grandsire. There is a lovely rare colour picture of him on the ASAoGB website.
I have put on Allbreeds.

Just caught up with this topic. There was some earlier interest in Kennox Zalsun who stands now in Worcestershire. He was British National Ridden Palomino Champion in 2003 and has competed in BSJA showjumping. He did indeed stand in Scotland in his younger days with the Blins in Ayrshire before they moved south. We are delighted we spotted his potential and sent two of our Arab mares to him in 1996, Sirocco Masquerade and Mistral Whisper. We were rewarded with two palomino fillies (how lucky was that?), Kahlua Moonbeam and Malibu Surfbreaker who have both excelled for us. Can't understand why so few of his stock are registered on All Breeds because he certainly has produced many more than that.
Kahlua Moonbeam with 2007 foal AKA Showtyme's Vanilla Ice
Malibu Surfbreaker, dam of Ruby Shy, Incandescent Flame and AKA Starbuck's Champagne Star |

Thats such a great picture , your foal turned out a similar colour to Fantasy`s , i wouldn`t use a stallion with alot of TB again as i prefer the Arab temperament |

OMG Ghost , i wondered what happened to her , The Shulay stud bought her & ran her with Faberge & then they sold her at the same time that they sold Shulay Moon Silver (her 1/2 sister ) I never heard whether she had a foal or not though, have you any idea ? She is a year older than Fantasy so she will be 17 this year ! if you e-mail the pic to me i will put it on here for you , legendmoon11@hotmail.com |

Ps Forgot to mention Ghost (Sarah) has some lovely pally's and cremellos herself... You will enjoy your day out. |
